Ugh, sitting back thinking about the injury to Hankerson. Maybe the worst injury yet. He was gonna get a good long look and lots or practice time with the #1's the next 7 weeks. Could've given the team a really good opportunity to gauge where is fits in here. Now his development has been slowed to a halt, and there will be so much lost practice time and game time for him. Probably sets his development back a season. He will basically be a rookie again next year.

That was the way I felt on our last pre-season game against the Ravens when Jarvis Jenkins went down. Hopefully, they come back motivated next season.

Also, Does anybody think Shanahan will be on the hot seat if this season continues to spiral out of control?. Or does he get the opportunity to coach out his contract.

Can't fire Shanny. If they do, what coach would be willing to come here? NONE of the top guys would put up with this IMO. Shanny will get all 5 years. Now Kyle...

Honestly the offense is more threatening with Rex at QB. Teams at the very least have to respect the fact that he will throw the ball down the field. Something Beck wouldn't do.

That said WTF was the reason for not starting Helu against Miami. I understand playing the "hot hand" but that was the opposite of what happened in Miami.

The only other game on the schedule I think they have a chance to win is the Seattle game, but that is an away game so who knows anymore. I thought they had a chance to win the Miami game.

Man, in the draft this year, It think we should take the route the Bengals took, when they drafted AJ Green then took Dalton in the 2nd..

I say, if Blackmon is there, I'll take him and get a QB in the 2nd round, it's a deep draft with QB's..and we need a playmaker at skill position. Am I the only one that agrees with that..Blackmon and Hankerson with Moss,Armstrong,Anderson,Gaffney,Paul,or Austin in the slot (not saying all them WR make the team next year).

I think Tannerhall will be there in the 2nd round

I would be okay with Blackmon if he's there, but this draft is basically gonna be a two QB draft IMO.

Luck and Barkley. The next Guys are all spread guys. Landry Jones, Case Keenum, RGIII... I say get your QB, get a C and or RG, find a late round MLB that can be molded into a starter and anyone that can play CB better than what Hall has done this year.

I'd say if top two are gone. Take Blackmon and then in second round grab Weedon. They have experience with each other and think Weedon may surprise some folks.

I like that way of thinking, but if Barkley is there you have to draft him. Matter of fact, I would trade up a couple of spots if it meant drafting him. But we need so much. Like I said, the Skins need everything except for OLB's.

Obviously I like Tannehill but I really think he may be a pretty good NFL QB. And two points come to mind.

1 - Tannehill is mobile and behind that offensive line you need mobility. Plus he has a quick release and gray arm strength.

2 - If it turns out bad. He can always move to WR and he has great hands and has a good amount of experience at WR.

Problem with this current iteration of coaches taking a spread or "project" QB is this. Flat out Mike Shanahan has not shown the ability to develop a QB. He couldn't do it with Grease, Got Plumber when he was a veteran, Cutler has been better with Martz in Chicago. So for those that are looking at guys that aren't "NFL Ready" just remember that little fact.

The next QB that Mike Shanahan develops will be the first. Just something to thing about.

Some will say yes, some will day no. I can't say because I don't really remember Jay's early Denver years. But i think Cutler has taken off in Mike Martz' QB friendly scheme over Shanny's.

I dunno about develop. Cutler came in a gunslinger and left Denver a gunslinger.

I would more say he tried to tame Cutlers reckless tendencies.

But Shannahan is a good coach I really think he can work with any talent but problem right now is offensive line. It's hard to implement his scheme when his QB is constantly running for his life.

Cutler played as well, if not better in Denver than he has in Chicago. The defense is what's made the difference on the team success. With that said, I don't think Cutler has been developed much in either place (probably more of an issue with Cutler than any coach) so the point may still stand.
