I know it's useless to assume, but Dan Graziano wrote a blog. If the season ended today, the skins would have the #5 pick in the draft, it gets interesting from there:

1. Indy
2. St. Louis
3. Minnesota
4. Jacksonville
5. Washington

So here is the funny thing. IF the Colts pass on Luck, obviously the phone for those other teams will be ringing off the hook, since each of those teams has their "franchise" QB. But there is a chance the skins could be in line for Luck if things played out perfectly in a skins fan dream world.

I personally think Minnesota or Jacksonville would take him and try to move their current QBs or make them backups (like Carolina has done). I especially see MIN doing it since they took Peterson even though they just signed their RB in Chester Taylor at the time.

I think Minnesota is content with Ponder. However Jacksonville is desperate for something to save the franchise and may just take him.

I do see your point with Minnesota and the Peterson draft but just don't see them bailing on Ponder yet. But would be hard to pass Luck up. I will say I believe Luck goes to Indy and he may even be signed before the draft just like Carr was.

I've been hard on Kyle Shanahan a lot, but I've got to admit he's called some really good games the last few weeks. I mean he was an offensive PI call away from winning this week and eclipsing 30 points. I know NE's defense is trash but it was still a well Calles game.

No chance Jacksonville goes with another QB. Without question Gabbert will be there next year and start.

I hope so since he's staying in school, lol. Unfortunately I think Barkley staying in school hurts the skins chances of getting RGIII. I got a feeling they'll be trading this and other picks for a QB. Either to move up to draft one or to grab one from the team that drafts Luck (assuming that'd be the Colts or the Rams).

More mad about how they lost today morso than the fact they lost. Webb contributing 3 scores with no Peterson SMH.

Royster and Helu together next year? Who ever our QB is that is gonna be nice.

Like up said sucks to lose but we improved our draft position.

He looked so good and ran so hard against St. Louis, pretty much nothing after that. Granted he never got a lot of touches but still, he never looked as good as he did against St. Louis.

Aldrick Robinson has been called up from the practice squad for week 17. He takes Torain's spot. Only question now is if he will make game day roster or be inactive.

man, been away a bit, good to be back on os! the 'skins i fear will not get RGIII because he is going to light the combine on fire and someone will give up a fortune to go up and get him ahead of us. i think we'll be picking around 7-10 and that won't be high enough. the franchise qb ain't coming this year unless they get someone in the 2nd round who is a gem.

i have no doubt that even if griffin were available when the 'skins pick they'd somehow mess it up and pass saying they weren't sold or something, only to watch philly draft him and him kill us for the next decade...

With all the holes the team has, it RGIII worth trading away a lot of this and possibly next year's draft?

I want to see his combine and read about his pro day, but I think that is gonna be the choice they have to make.

Not in my opinion. If he falls to #6 I think they'll have to take him (if they haven't made a move for another QB already) but I don't think they should trade up for anyone but Luck... and think the price is too high for that.
