Re: Official New York Jets Thread

I think this year's top QBs are fool's gold. Marriota is a system guy, and Winston has too much risk. No runningback except the second coming of Barry Sanders is worth a top first round pick so there's that. If the Jets are looking for an offensive player than they need to look at receiver in the first. You're receivers have really let down your quarterbacks when they actually make good reads and throws.

Are their any good offensive linemen worth using that first rounder on?

No 10-year, All-Pro potential studs on the OL from what I have been following.

Even if there was, we have so many holes, I wouldn't take one anyway.

If we're going to take a WR, I'm just hoping we get the best one. Problem is at least2 teams before us can snatch Amari.

Ugh, then you guys certainly need a pass catcher If you are going to go for offense.

And unless the re-incarnation of Night Train Lane is at CB this year, no defense whatsoever.
Decker is not a #1 and Kerley is barely a decent #3.

          We need playmakers.

I'm rooting for the Jets to go after Winston, or possibly RGIII, after this season. Just to bring more excitement into NY. I agree with bigeastbumrush though that NYJ does need more playmakers.

Todd McShay has the Jets taking Cooper at #6.

ESPN just said that Jay Cutler would be a good fit with them.

                  Yes.

Another turnover machine. Just what we need.

Jets have so many holes to fill. They're going to need to spend some money to at least be competitive next year.

Looking like Woody's about to clean house, Idzik included.

What a waste of the past 2-3 years.

So we get a new GM, coach, offensive system, defensive system and a bunch of cap space.

Can't turn a team around unless there is a future HOFer in the draft and there doesn't appear to be one.

So we're going to bring in Charley Casserly to help pick the new regime, and he's considering Norv Turner?

                      WTF

                        I didn't hear about Norv.

I wouldn't be totally against it since he's a veteran coach and he's really good with QBs. Really good.

Other options are bringing in a young coach with no experience where you roll the dice and hope he turns out good.

I'm not mad a bringing in Norv. Teddy Bridgewater is finishing the season strongly under him.

The Jets are expected to fire Rex Ryan. I just found this out. My guess it will happen either tomorrow or later in the week.

Yep, and it's all on Woody. Saddling a new GM with a coach from the previous regime doesn't work.

I'm no fan of Woody, but Idzik completely screwing up last years offseason was completely on him. Had nothing to do with the coach.
