I really hope we get a good receiver with the 31st pick.

Or we sign a Big-name receiver (Fitz, Bryant).

I'll be devastated if we lose Lynch, but I think Russ has to work on his pocket passing. I'm quick to defend him, but I don't like seeing the past five INTs over the last two games.

I haven't looked at the numbers but I don't see us paying big bucks for those receivers. I'd rather see us continue to develop our young receivers. Noorwood and Richardson showed some promise. Baldwin and Kearse have basically hit their ceiling, but there is trust and chemistry with them. My wish from the draft is a true, playmaking tight end. And offensive lineman. Lots of offensive lineman.

I honestly think we shouldn't pay him the money he wants. That's too much money when we should be concerned with re-signing Wilson and Lynch.

            Re: Official Seattle Seahawks Thread

Recent interviews with John Schneider hints at a hometown discount/creative accounting Jedi mind tricks for Wilson's contract. I also think Marshawn stays for an extra $2mil per season for another 3 years. So, after accounting for a cheaper than usual cap hit for Wilson, let's say we're left with about $7mil left to spend ($26mil - $10mil for RW - $9mil for Lynch = $7mil).

If the Hawks part ways with Zach Miller (which I think happens anyway because the talent at TE on our roster is just . I mean, I like dude, but he hasn't had much impact over the last 3 years with him being hurt so much.), Russell Okung (At this point, I can't really tell the difference in impact with or without him as Max Unger is the more important player on this line. Add that to the poor grade of glass his body is made out of and he can just ) & Tony McDaniel for an extra $13mil in cap space... I think we can pull in Suh for about $8 mil per year. We'd still have about $5mil to work with to resign Bobby Wagner.

If that move happens, it would come with some downsides. Doing this means we can't meet Byron Maxwell at whatever number he's trying to reach. Hell, even if we don't sign Suh, that probably still happens. Also, if we were to make those moves listed above, it means we go offense-heavy in the draft. Which is a bit of a luxury for us, considering how many picks we have to dispose of this year. Heck, maybe we could even move up in the 1st round to acquire a impactful player...

Love the post jWill. Uhh it sucks having that dead money from the Percy deal. Could use it right now. The thought of Suh on the Seahawks is just ridiculous. Our defense would be the best ever if he performed. However I don't see it happening at all. If we signed Suh, gave Wagner his deal and gave Wilson a smaller contract, the defense would comprise of over 70% of our payroll. I just don't see the stars aligning to make all of it possible, although it is possible.

Maxx Williams from Minnesota is my dream pick in the first round. Basically a better Luke Willson. Amari Cooper is the only receiver worth a top 15 pick IMO. Receivers aren't amazing in this year's draft.

Harvin is hands down the worst move we've ever made in franchise history. Paid him all that money, for valuable draft picks, and all we have to show for it is what amounts to a peanut butter & jelly sandwich and money we can't use. I'm just gonna chalk that up as another one of Bevel's failed Minnesota experiments.

As far as the draft is concerned, I'm falling in love with Dorial Green-Beckham. Dude's a beast.

Don't bother with him. He's a POS that will bring the same problems Harvin did. I don't want him anywhere near our locker room.

Liked what I saw tonight. Obviously a few minor kinks to work out, but we're almost there.

Wilson has some kinks to work out with his receivers. Think the quality of the offensive line is getting to him a little bit, and making him go high on his throws. He'll get it down, tho.

Tyler Lockett, tho. I haven't been this excited for a WR on this team since I misplaced all my joy and hope into Darrell Jackson.

Kams back. We are playing our first home game against one of the worst teams in the NFL. They are without their starting quarterback. Let's get it rolling now. I'm predicting a 12-4 record still with losses at Cincy and Arizona.

                            I'll only accept a 14-2 record.

Man what a season so far! Finally clinched the playoff spot. Lost out on the division, but honestly, that's okay. We probably weren't gonna get a first round bye anyway. I'm hoping we win out so we can play whoever wins the East in the first round.

Injuries have been tough to Lynch, but man, who expected Rawls to be a top ten rusher heading in to week 15? Obviously he's not anymore because he's been passed up by healthy guys, but it was awesome to watch him break out.

Speaking of breaking out, I'm loving our passing offense right now. Russ-to-Baldwin gets me more excited than the thought of Russ-to-Graham got me before the season started.

Looking back on it, I'm regretting moving Unger for Graham. I think we easily could've ran with Willson as our starting TE, with Helfet and Chase Coffman as our backups. Plus our O-line has really struggled at times. Unger anchoring our line was awesome and I definitely miss him. Now I hope Graham returns next year and gets his 80 catches, 1000+ yards and double-digit TDs, but you never know.

On defense, getting Kam back after week two helped a lot. Imagine if we had him shading St. Louis and GB those first two weeks? We'd probably have that first round bye next to Carolina, or at least the third seed.

Obviously we need to find a better guy to play CB2 opposite Sherman. I like Lane, but I think he's more suited to play as a nickel back. I think Tharold Simon is a guy to watch.

Our LB core, solid as ever. Irvin could walk after this year, but after hopefully making the SB three straight years, why would he want to? Unless he's a $$$ guy, which could very well be likely.

D-Line is solid, I like how we're rotTing guys like Clark and Marsh in, getting them playing time is very beneficial. The aggressiveness that leads to so many penalties is what kills me. I saw Avril jump offsides twice yesterday again the Browns. That's the kind of stuff that loses you football games against opponents who can take advantage.

On special teams, man, that Lockette kid is a stud. Hope he's settles into a nice role in our offense too, and he looks more than well on his way to doing so.

I think a future with Russ-Rawls-Baldwin-Kearse-Lockette-Graham is deadly, especially with out D.

I'm so excited for the playoffs. I really think we can make a run. The Panthers look beatable.

                              Go Hawks!
