Old Mac is perhaps the most "fun" of the Bandon courses, in my opinion (I have not played the Sheep Ranch yet). It's not the most spectacular or most 'ambitious', but somewhere along the way during my Bandon trip, I sort of felt like I was having the most fun on that track.

Some of that might be that I was playing better there, so who knows, but it just seems really playable and you can knock it around kind of all over there and still have a shot at a number on most holes.

I played better on Old Mac two years ago than I did this time. But I actually think it's the second hardest on the complex. The bunkering, the length. You can spray it a little bit, but it's definitely penalizing. Sheep Ranch to me is definitely the most fun and easiest, and arguably best views.

      My two personal lists,

      Most fun:
      Sheep Ranch
      Trails
      Bandon
      Pac
      Old Mac

      Best/Favorite:
      Pac
      Bandon
      Trails
      Sheep Ranch

Teed it on Monday when it was 60° at my buddy's club. Shot 82 and won some money in a six man skins/wolf game, that was so convoluted that I just told the guy running it to just tell me what I won or owed at the end. Cleaned up. Now it's 20° outside with some snow flakes in the air. This is bull****.

Dropped from 73 degrees to 22 in just 14 hours here overnight last night! Thunderstorms with hail, then snow. Just wild.

Local golf show is this weekend, and it looks like it'll be in the 60s again, too. Time to stock up on gear I don't need and then take it straight out to the course!

Nowhere in the country is all that great for golfing right now. Rain in the west, cold/snow in the midwest and east, rain in the south, fires in Texas...Mother Nature is conspiring against golfers!

Headed to Myrtle on Thursday for our yearly Legends Resort golf trip.
              4 days 5 nights.
16 of us (up from 12 previous years) this go around.

Then, mid-April 2 friends and I are headed to Ocean City for a 4-day golf trip.

Set to semi retire May 10th. Have a PT job already set up at local golf course.

              Looking forward to the changes.

                          Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

So I have always been a casual golfer. I would play, at most, 3-4 rounds a year.

However, I become engrossed with golf last year. I started going to the driving range probably at least once a week and then I would play a round a couple time a month.

When I first started last year, I was about a 21 handicap. I would shoot 90's-100's. I went and got swing lessons in the fall of last year and was fitted for new irons. I continued to practice and basically read any golf instruction book, podcast, and youtube videos. My wife would always chuckle because usually while she was getting ready for bed I would watch Danny Maude on youtube to help improve my game.

Well, it all came together last week at my home course. I shot the best round of my life, a 77 (par is 72). So I was pretty stoked at the end of the round. It seemed like I hit almost every fairway and had almost every green in regulation. I have been able to get my handicap down to a 12 and will try to get it in the single digits by the end of the year.

My best friend is a scratch golfer, so I hope to one day be able to compete with him better when we play. My goal is to become a scratch golfer one day but I will take just getting in the single digits.

$299? Oh, you gotta do that.

Even if you just stored them in your garage, they'll probably gain in value over time as a long-discontinued (but beloved by some) model.

Outside of a few exceptions of incredibly rare products, or limited things like Scotty's, etc. No golf clubs game value. They're just like cars. Those clubs are worth a little over $200 in trade in value, they'll only go down.

                                Cool pick up though.
