They are cheeper now but would have a hard time justifying it.

I have the RBZ original driver(adjustable) and it's a BEAST. I have never drove the ball like I have with the RBZ and I also now have a slight draw or dead straight flight.
In fact, for the first time ever, I drove over a Par 4. I had to chip back up and birdied the hole. I've never been a really big hitter.
I can't say this enough that the confidence I have on the tee box now is awesome and that for me is priceless.
I almost want to grab another one as a backup if something happens to mine..lol

    Side note:
On way home this past Sunday we stopped at a local course. A group parallel to us was coming into the green and one of them hit a nice shot that rolled ..hit pin and was knocked about 2 feet away.
One of them said "I'd count that because if the pin wasn't there it would have gone in"
We just looked at each other and started saying things like.. "That should count as a TD because if that MLB wasn't there he'd have scored."

    lol

Well it was 80 outside today. 44 on the front and a 38 on the back. I'm hoping to break 80 for the first time this year. I'd say an 82 is on the right track.

i'm not a fan of the adjustable heads. I figure the way the market is going I'll eventually have to buy one.

I never was either. I stayed far away from them.
Then I decided to try the RBZ. They did have the non adjustible one for the same $ but I decided what the heck.
The one I have only adjusts the loft so I can't say much about the ones that adjust for open/closed via the plate.
I tried all the loft setting and for me the 10.5 was the golden ticket.
In the end it really was the "pop" this club has.

Eventually I "may" try one with the adjustible sole plate but the less I have to tinker with the better.

Adjustable sole plate is nice if having a square club face is important to you. I own r11s driver and fairway. The fairway is 17*. I have is opened all the way, so it plays effectively as a 15.5. But, I don't like the look of an open club face, so I adjust the sole to closed. Problem solved. 15.5 degree rocket launcher with a square face at address.

Yeah I just haven't liked the way they feel. But I was playing a Nike Sumo Sq2 10.5 degree and just hitting it way too high and it felt dead. I bought it new when they dropped 5ish years ago. I got the Superfast 2.0 and it POPS, I've never hit a driver better and I've always been pretty good off the tee but hitting it 280 into the wind was nothing i've ever done or thought I could do. I'm excited for the summer.

I have the Superfast 2.0 3W and Rescue. I'm dropping the rescue as I'm going with another wedge. My main improvement area is on closer approaches and want more options distance wise.
I very rarely use the rescue since I hit my long irons great now.

I went and hit the range today. I have never had anyone show me how to play. What are some good tips to hit straight (veering to the right off drive or just shanking to the right) I tried being smooth with my swing today and keeping my eye on the ball the whole time and was hitting better with my 3W than with my driver. Any help?

There's a lot of factors. Without seeing your swing it would be hard to say for sure.
Proper grip, ball placement, swing plane etc...

Some people I pay attention to (Among others)

The best suggestion IMO would be to seek out a pro at a local course or even Golf Galaxy/Dicks..

                          Good luck man!

Anyone have any tips for someone about to go play his first 9 holes?

Got bit with the golf bug last year and bought a starter set of clubs, went to the range a bunch of times but I since none of my friends were into golf and all the courses by my house are expensive and 18 holes I never went.

Now I am commuting to school out on Long Island and there is a nice 9 hold course that is pretty cheap and empty so I am planning on playing next week finally since it seems like the course is quiet and I can play by myself and not have to worry about stepping on other golfers toes. I am pretty excited but nervous because I have never stepped on a course and don't know how my game will be.

So any tips for a first timer? I know the basics of etiquette since I have read up on the rules, replace your divots, rake the bunkers, etc.
