If anyone ever has a chance to go to the Masters I would highly recommend it. My and my buddy went Saturday and Sunday and had a blast. The course is immaculate. And watch out for the gift shop, I somehow spent over $560.

Today was an absolute disaster. 0 good tee shots, 0 good approach shots...I had a few solid pitch shots around the green and some decent putts, but I really have no idea where to go from here. This is my 4th year of golfing and I feel like SOME progress should have been made.

Have you taken lessons? If not I would look into that.

I need to hit the range bad... I work swing shift, so I'm thinking before work tomorrow. It's not that anything is wrong, quiet the opposite. My ball striking has been immaculate this year and I don't want to lose the touch, plus I need to work on my short game afterwards.

Yeah, go get lessons man. You know I tried to impart some help in this thread as well for you. Post a video of your swing again if you want.

Worked from my iPhone today and played 18. Didn't hit the range before the round and that was a huge mistake. Played the NXT ball today. Will play the Q-Star Sunday. My round went well, but I opened with a 10 on hole 1 and had a 12 on 13. My wedges failed me on both those holes. Still getting used to the RBZ driver now that I own it and lost a couple balls off the tee. Overall though it was a pretty good round. Got the NXT to check up and spin back. on 18 I hit an absolutely beautiful tee shot. Pure draw went about 265 setting up a wedge into the green, that landed 15 feet from the hole after spinning back about 7 feet. Got the par, but it was exciting as I finally got the Driver doing what I wanted. Ended with a 109 for the round, but this was more about getting used to my driver and hitting as many shots as I could with the titelist ball.

I haven't used an NXT ball before, but have tried a number of different brands. My all time favorite is the DT-Solo; and then the z-star.

Of course I get my golf balls used from lostgolfballs website and that allows me to try different types. Might switch back to the Z-Star after a love hate relationship with the pro v1x's.

I mainly play pro v1's but my dad is a marshall at our home course (we play a ton together) and he looks for balls while he's marshalling and gives me all the pro v1s, pentas, Callaway ix tours... and of the top of the line ball. I have a fast swing 110 mph and really love the distance and feel those balls give me. But When I buy balls, I love the Srixon Z-Star. It's a great alternative to the pro v1 and is really durable too.

On a side note. I had a great practice day at the range. I am getting 10 more yards distance this year. I think it's because of how crisp i have been hitting the ball. I'm absolutely smoking my new driver (Superfast 2.0) I have a natural power draw but I was working with it today and was able to hit cut fades too. I can't wait for saturday to come.

Z-Star IMO is such a great ball. I was tempted to go back to them and buy in bulk as I saw "Richard's" sporting goods was getting rid of all their 2011 stock for only $19.99. That is by far my favorite ball. Great feel, and durability. Nice distance to boot. I was impressed with the NXT for being a 2 piece ball.

                        Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

                        My current inventory:
2 boxes of e6's (my main go to ball), 1 box of Q-Stars and yesterday I did buy a box of ProV's as I had a 10.00 off coupon for Dick's plus they were on sale... so got them for 29'ish.

My next round will be only the Q-Star just to get a full round with them and then will make a determination.

I really really hope I can get out this weekend or the front part of the week. Only issue is I'm covering for a guy at work who is traveling to a different plant for the week....

That's great, man. You are going to be easy on the wallet getting balls from your dad. I prefer it that way because it's so crazy of just how one ball gets hit once - and it's never found by the players again.

Love to hear your hitting the ball good! Man, I have to hit the range. I am dedicating myself to stick to just one swing method and not deterring from it. I have been trying to incorporate a fade, but realize that my natural play is straight to a draw - so I'm not fighting it.

Yes! Love the Z-Star; it's amazing of how much of a comparison it rises next to Titleist balls. Thanks for heads up about the deal, might have to check that out.

I like the E6's as well. Used to be my go to a couple years ago. I've never tried the Q-Stars though.

Hope you get out, man. I'm playing Saturday. Going to really try to hit the par 3 course more often. Heck I work at 9; I can dedicate waking up earlier to hit balls or something.

Yeah...I'm sure part of it was the fact that I haven't touched a club in 6 months, so we'll see what happens next week. I'll be sure to get some videos up next time I'm at the range.

This evening was the opening for my 9-hole golf league. Played decent, shot a 42. On hole #8 a short 288 Par 4 I drove the green which suprised the hell out of me. Ended up being 10 ft for eagle but had to settle for birdie. Overall I'm pretty happy with my round. Winds where gusting up to 25 mph so it was pretty brutal
