Same here as far as range vs course!

I actually have "money" distances now of 60-65, 80-85 and 130-135.
Either of those 3 approach distances and I know I will pretty much have a decent shot at birdie.

Tee off at 2:20 tomorrow at Locust Hill

Good afternoon guys. I'm in need of re-gripping the ole sticks. Anyone have any recommendations? I don't even know where to begin as far as quality/pricing. Since we're all friends here I thought I'd ask. Cheers!

Thanks guys. Been doing some research on everything out there. Not as expensive as I'd feared. Nor does it seem difficult to do. Looking forward to replacing mine and getting out there! Hell, they're only about 3 years old, I probably won't notice a difference. (Sarcasm)

They are really easy to to UNLESS your solvent sucks. So make sure you have the proper solvent that doesn't dry out real fast.

Back from Vegas, but flying Southwest from Vegas with a head wind, has left me with a swollen left knee. I wanted to golf today as I had off, but my leg is killing me. Next year I will be taking my clubs to Vegas and golfing there.

Heading out to Golf Town tomorrow to purchase the final piece to my bag, a 3 wood. Looking to try out the Nike Covert Performance 3 Wood, the Nike VR Limited Edition 3 Wood and the Callaway X-Hot 3 Wood. Hopefully I find something I like.

Unfortunately, my golf season has already been significantly shortened. Tore my MCL, so it'll probably at least two months before I can play 18 again.

What do I need to do/know in order to get me some custom clubs? Can I have my current set re-shafted or do I come out better starting from scratch and getting whole new clubs?

                                Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

Got out to the range Monday and today. Hit 'em pretty well today. Although the driving range here kinda sucks. Instead of yardage markers, they have "targets" with all the Big Ten school logos on them. They're supposed to have a chart posted that tells you how far away each target is (Purdue = 150 yards, Michigan St. = 170 yards, etc.) but they didn't have any of them filled in.

Wasn't a huge deal, as I was just focusing on hitting them straight instead of zoning in distances, haha.

I saw a commercial on ESPN last summer about getting a Warrior hybrid club for free, so I decided to do it. Took a long time to get it shipped, so I got it late in the summer and didn't get to use it much.

                                Here it is:
                                Spoiler

Anyways, spent a lot of time with it both times I went, and I really like it! I had never hit a hybrid before in my life, but I did a little reading before hand; tips on how to hit a hybrid. It took a few swings to kinda get the feel, but I really like it. I have a tendency to top it, so I hit a few of those 30-40 yard ones along the ground, but more often than not I was hitting it pretty straight and decently long.

                                Love golf season!
