Sounds like a PGA 2K23 preview build is being given to some of the 2K NextMaker crowd...CrazyCanuck1985, TheApexxHound, Jim Gem, VctryLnSprts, etc. are all saying they have a early copy of the game and can release info and content about it "soon".

Although, I am seeing that the course creator is not something they can share as part of the preview or whatever, which is odd but typical...hype things up, but keep certain things under wraps.

Jim & Apex will definitely give you an honest opinion but not sure the others will.

Yeah, some are a bit more "rah-rah" than others no matter what, while others provide pretty objective thoughts...so it will be interesting to see what the thoughts are across the board.

I'm sure 23 will be the best they have produced up till now but my guess is the improvement will just be incremental not earth shattering.

This series has coasted on goodwill for too long in my view. EA is going to crush their base within a year. Next year I expect to see a huge improvement thanks to competition.

Honestly trying to think what else they would even say.

Absolutely never in a million years would any of these folks ever come out and say “just stick with 2K21” (if they truly felt that way privately I mean)

The whole “access, influencer and review” space is so broken

Anyway, sounds like were are getting 2K23 gameplay videos and content much earlier in the cycle this time around. I mean, it's still just a month until the game releases, but we didn't get eyes on 2K21 until like a week or two before that game came out.

All indications are that MyPlayer/MyCareer info will be out next week, and more TopGolf info is coming out tomorrow, too.

I don't really like the influencer/NextMaker thing either, but at least this time around there are videos and content coming out earlier in the process.

No matter what these people are saying, they are actually showing video of gameplay a month ahead of release. That's like double the amount of time they did for 2K21...still not early enough IMO, but better than waiting until literally hours before release to show anything.

Yep! More and more content is good...

Sure be amazing if they'd ever just do a week long "preview" or "beta" of some kind.

I don't really like being this cynical, but it always feels to me like they are playing "hide the ball" as long as possible to not interfere with the ramp up/excitement/pre-sale narratives.

i.e. I do honestly think they'd worry that enough of a critical mass of normal users trying out a preview release would give public commentary of "good changes, but hard to justify a full blown new game/full purchase"... "feels like it should have been 2k1 content and/or DLC packs"

No rush for me to buy this game. I'll just wait a while for impressions also want to wait to see older ported courses become available. I don't play many other games as much as I used to not buying a 4k TV just to play the other game so for me what I have now is good enough for pick up and play once in a while.

Just a random question, does anyone know if we’ll be able to use the pro player(Tiger, Colin, JT, etc.) swing for our created golfer? Will we have multiple swings to choose from instead of just the default?
