Quick impressions only after an hour

Swings feels amazing as well as club sounds.

Presentation upgrades are nice and more broadcast like. menu music is excellent

Noticed some screen tearing not game breaking but hopefully gets fixed in a patch (ps5) for me, it was when I hit fast forward.

Ball trajectory seems life like

Short game is TOUGH. I did not break par in any of the three rounds I played.

There is a slight delay when pulling back the right stick. something I’ll have to get used too.

PLayed hour and refunded. Game looks great but i cant get over the small annoying things. 90 yards out and they give me 8 iron to hit pitch shot. Ball still super bouncy and feels fake to me. Bunker shots still feel and look buggy. Swing is whatever, nothing will ever have the swing feel of Tiger 07..

Heres to hoping EA Sports Golf 2023 saves golf for me.

Just an addition to my previous post and take it as you will, I’ve played about 7-10 rounds and I’m already at 3,000 in game credits or VC or whatever 2k calls it. Can’t remember what the pre order bonus was, but it feels like I’m earning it at a reasonable rate.

From what I hear those golf balls are expensive. Can someone explain to me why EA will not develop their new game for the PC?

Has anyone ported any courses over from 21? I don't mean the garbage I mean quality stuff.

There have been quite a few moved over already, especially from those who had early access/are NextMakers.

I caved and bought an early access version...had PS Store funds lying around and burning a hole in my virtual wallet. But I haven't moved any courses of mine into 2K23 yet.

I have been playing 2K23 for a few hours...I am weak...and to me, there are some good things and some not so good things.

On the good side, the gameplay is good. Plays well. It does look better than 2K21 visually in most ways. It's fun to play with the pros and all that. I have been playing on Pro difficulty to get used to the swing. Had a round in the Q School Final, where I won the event and shot -6. Then, played a Korn Ferry Event at TPC Sawgrass and shot a 77.

On the bad side, on PS4, the game seems very laggy and stutters a lot. I also have an issue where I cannot switch out the look of my pitching wedge no matter what I do. I also didn't get the 1300 VC I was supposed to get with the pre-order. Played one round of Topgolf and I think I am good with rarely hopping back into it...just kind of "meh" and gets old quick (good thing it takes like 5 min. to play a round then).

Lastly, there's a lot of "I've seen this before" to me...while the game does look better, and there are some new wrinkles, the whole package feels very much like the past 2K/HB golf games. In some ways, that's great. In others, not so much.

I haven't dabbled in the designer, the fittings, the consumable golf balls, or used any of the Skill points yet. I think I will have fun with the game, but I am not blown away at this point. I know a Day 1 patch is coming on Oct. 14, so we'll see what that fixes/tweaks/updates.

Yeah you're not the only one who mentioned that problem with the wedge think one of the guys over at TGC Tours mentioned that this morning.

Early81 first round. He mentions the same thing Respawn said about long range approaches sticking. 2k gotta make up their mind and be consistent. 200 yard shots stick and barely run while a 25 foot chip runs all day?

From what was said, they barely sold over 10,000 copies of the Masters TW12 on PC, we never saw another TW PC game after that. Without a decent return for investment, sadly they probably won't bother.

Edit: Nevermind, it's coming to PC too.
