I have also always thought that the swing animations in 2K were terrible - really herky-jerky and not at all realistic-looking. Which is hard to believe, since it's literally the only character animation occurring during the game.

It seems weird to me that the original "Leaderboard Golf" from the Commodore64 days still to this day appears to have smoother swing animations than modern golf games. I understand it's 2D-vs-3D but c'mon - it's 2025!

In the trailer you can still see that “hitch” at the top of tigers swing that was in 2k23 for all the pros. Most concerning part of the trailer for me. Thats really the only reason I stuck with my myplayer for most of my time in 23. It threw off the timing big time.

Solo Societies and ability to use Created Courses in all game modes including Career is a MUST for me, or no buy.

I would say it’s a comparison that doesn’t scream authenticity, possibly downgraded 2k23 resolution just to make 2k25 pop a shade more🤣

It also seems like a couple aren't accounted for? Torrey Pines North and South will both be in, but considering those two courses for just the one "Torrey Pines" mention, there's only 27 courses accounted for. The press release yesterday said 29 courses are available at launch...unless that was a mistake?

Please seperate the men's and women's tours. It completely destroys the realism without the distinction.

Interesting, so they're bringing back courses that don't host existing tournaments (The Shriners Open isn't being held this year and the Canadian Open is being held elsewhere this year, though that tournament does rotate). One missing course is the BMW Championship, Wilmington does not seem to be returning and I think the course for this year is Castle Rock? Maybe that plus Torrey Pines North would be the 29 they mentioned.

A little disapponting to not see any additional courses besides the major courses, I would love to see Muirfield or either of the Hawaii courses make a return to golf games. I would also like to see Spyglass included in the Pebble Beach Pro-Am in Career Mode, especially if they are including both Torrey Pines courses in Career Mode. Overall though it is an impressive lineup of PGA tournaments, I think they have most tournaments in almost all main season months now.

However, that could be at a fictional "official" course if they don't have the rights to the real host course.

Hmm, that makes sense. The clubhouse in that image doesn't seem to match the clubhouse at the real host course so it could be fictional, that would be disappointing. I wonder what makes up the 29 licensed courses they said then? Like you said, all the ones they have on the website + Torrey North is just 27.

I also just noticed the Renaissance Club for the Scottish Open is not listed, so make that 2 less officially licensed tournament host courses (maybe that's the source of the 29 mistake). Would've loved to have that links course in the game...
