That's probably why. I was upgrading a crap 1970 Chevelle that I bought from the AH. The car is junk, and was a total waste of $10,000.

I can get going upwards of 199mph, but If I try to take a turn(on the oval) at a speed of 145+ I will spin out of control. I wanted to add a spoiler and some downforce to see if it would help; looks like that won't happen now.

It looks like I can't upgrade the car anymore, or at least I don't know how to. So the car ended up an S class, with it's best stat a 8.0 rarity and 7.0 speed. I will put it on the AH, see if it sells.

a lot of HP with no handling is horrible with those cars. Some tuning might help though.

I also just found out that you can actually download tuning setups from people off the leaderboards.

Yeah, they had that in the first one too. But I was all over the place usually using them. I think tuning and upgrades, while helpful can't mask poor driving. I find using my ears helps alot. If the tires are losing grip, then you're doing something wrong.

Anybody should be able to take any RWD vehicle through any track without wiping out if they drive properly. Just takes practice to make it around in and post a good time.

I bought Forza 2 last week and so far I am very impressed. The game play, handling, physics of the cars and sound are very good. The damage is not just cosmetic and it does have significant impact on the performance of the car you are driving. I love that you cannot simply increase the horse power of your car and always dominate. You must upgrade your car wisely balancing horse power with handling. A car with too much horse power can be difficult to control and drive and this is very realistic. The graphics are good but not earth shattering which is not that important because what makes games fun to play is game play appeal and Forza 2 has it.

The Chevelle is terribly hard to drive once you upgrade it (not that any of the big muscle cars are easy to keep on the road, for me at least). What I've done with mine is added racing stabilizers, then increased the level of both the front and the rear stabilizer by 10 points. Then it becomes somewhat drivable. You might try that.

I'll give it a shot. I just want to make the car drivable, so I can sell it on the AH.

What car are you guys using to race online in the C class? I've been using my Integra R02, but it just doesn't have enough speed or acceleration to keep up with the other cars.

I use my Golf R32 that I brought up to 550, so it's right on the C/B edge.

Yeah I saw someone use one of those just a second ago. My problem is that I've used two cars, one the Integra (at 544 i think) and the other is an 05 WRX (at 550). I just can't seem to compete with either of them though. I am still new to the game, and I think if I knew anything about tuning I could get them to my liking, but I don't know where to start.

How can I make the car turn better is what I need, like when I turn my car won't turn enough and winds up overshooting the turn and into the grass or wall?

Worth it! I haven't spent the first second online and im all over this game. (wasted my 48hr free live.. activated it and then never tried any online racing )

I like seeing how fast I can get muscle cars to go. I get my charger to 235.

If you hear the tire screeching....well then stop braking/accelerating and steer until you just pass the apex of the turn. Then let it rip. I LOVE driving vette's now and yet I couldn't drive them worth a dam in the first Forza.

What Jistic said. Although it would be a good idea to not get carried away with too much tuning since you'll eventually have to do Factory Spec races in high-performance stock sports cars in single player Career mode.

Anyway... if you guys think Corvettes are tough to drive, wait until you have to race in the TVRs. The 'vetts are tame to drive in comparison to these lightweight beasts.
