You have to play offline to get the achievement. Since you are at the level, complete one offline race and you'll get both achievements.

That's what I thought would happen, but I got up to Level 21 offline, and never received it (and it says that I have the "bonus" for Level 20).

Maybe when I hit Level 30...or not

How do I work with custom soundtracks? I see the option on the back of the box, but nothing in the menus or manual. The music in this game is my only complaint. How do I get songs from my hardrive to play while not racing?

This game is very good and I am having a blast! I can finally race online without having everyone use the PIT to win races ala PG3. The game looks good and races fantastic! The only gripes I have is that there are only 13 tracks, and the replays aren't as nice as PG3/GT4.

13 tracks you say? Yep. Having different variations of the same track, well I don't consider those as separate tracks. Forza 2 has a number of tracks made out of the infamous test track that gave us all fits in Forza 1. When trying out Free Run mode, the track list looks impressive. Until you look at the layout, you will see that having smaller versions of the same track, as well as reverse versions of all the tracks, there are really only 13 tracks available. That's a bit surprising to me as this kind of technique has been used to mask a short track list for years in racing games.

Maybe with Forza 3 we'll get more tracks delivered to us as it is plain to me that this version is focused squarely on the cars. And this, along with the actual racing and physics, is where the game has no equal.

1) Create a playlist of some sort while in the XBOX Dashboard interface (this assumes you already have music on the hard drive, if not, put it there)

2) During the game, hit the XBOX Button, go down to the Music portion of the display, find your playlist, and play it.

At least, this is what I've been doing. If there's a better way I don't know it yet.

Level 26 and now the dough is really starting to roll in...the higher races net you like 20K each race with bonuses. I have like $400K and not really spending it since you're using class based cars now. I bought a CLK 55 and loving it.

am I missing something with the auction house? Can you bid up to whatever amount you want to, instead of bidding each time you get outbid? I was trying to get a car, but as far as I could see, it would only let me hit the bid button, which just increases the amount a little. Everytime it would bump the auction back to 2 minutes, which got annoying.

You should build yourself a racing cockpit Fishepa like shown in the Racing Cockpit thread. They are pretty cheap to make and pretty damn effective. Mine has improved my driving skills massively

I was trying to get a car, but as far as I could see, it would only let me hit the bid button, which just increases the amount a little. Everytime it would bump the auction back to 2 minutes, which got annoying.

Yeah, that's how it works. You can only bid once and can't set a max bid. Also, if you bid with less than a minute left in the auction than it resets the time to two minutes to prevent sniping.

wow, kinda lame how you have to sit there and slowly bid back and forth with other people until it finishes. They could have at least gone the ebay route and let you bid a max price, then not have to worry about sitting in the auction house until it's over.

It's pretty annoying.

Unfortunately I don't have room for something like that. Plus I have a wife, and that would not go well.

they can add more tracks for download later on. Supposedly, they have hinted at that happening.
