I've only used the GC controller for Mario 64. I assume as long as the original controller, in this case the N64 controller, has the buttons the GC controller has you will use those controls. You use the analog stick to move, c stick controls the camera, A to jump, etc. The VC titles are not changed at all, they are the same as they were on the systems, so there are no updated controller layouts to look at.

Also is the gamecube a software emulation (ie XBOX 360 problems) or did they just integrate the chip and therefore there won't be any problems with backward compatiblity?
If you want two Gamecube controllers, you can pick them up if you want, but in the end you'll most likely end up with a classic controller anyway if you want to play Super Smash Bros. next year since that will (most likely) need a classic controller.

As for the games, there is no update/firmware needed to play GC games. The Wii reads both the Wii discs and the GC discs, so BC should be 100%. Interesting note, I believe the Wii is the first to self-load two different sized discs.

It's noticeable in Zelda. Nothing major, but the edges are a little more crisp, rather than blurred.

            Beyond the Launch

Even though I already have 2 wii remotes, I might have to pick up the WiiPlay and remote bundle when it comes out.

LOL I saw a Weird Al on a different forum as a Mii and figured I'd create my own.

you can design these little Mii guys that roam around your Wii and can travel to other people's Wii's. I made one that looked like Weird Al and he found his way over to Sully's

:y4: That's hilarious. So you just created him, and he randomly made his way to someone elses console? That's great.

yeah, I'm not sure exactly how it works all the time. Some characters like Skyboxer's were sent directly to me I think, where as some characters like Sully's were in this Mii Parade section and I grabbed them and sent them to were all the Miis I created hang out. Now all those guys show up in my Wii Sports baseball game. I few other Miis have been in the Mii Parade section that I have no idea who they are. They could be other Mii's that people on my friend list have created and they came to the Wii. There a 24connect setting on the Wii which leaves it online all the time even in standby mode, and that allows other people's Miis to travel to your Wii.

What's the deal with these EB / Gamestop (or other retailer) Wii bundles for approximately $600 - $700? They come with a bunch of games, extra controllers, memory card, etc. They also seem to be the only bundles that are even occasionaly available online. Couldn't you get one of these bundles and return the games and accessories you don't want to either Walmart or Best Buy, or does everything come already opened? I know both Walmart and Best Buy will take back unopened games and accessories even without a receipt and give you store credit in the amount of the full retail price. What am I missing?
