Re: Official Wii Discussion
After 4 days of Wii boxing, I am finally getting the hang of it. It was my least favorite of the bunch but NOW its becoming my favorite. As you defeat each opponent they become better and better and you have to adjust how you approach fighting your opponents. Also counter punching becomes more important, when you dodge and make them miss bad and see that "WHIFF" animation, MAN you can let em HAVE IT, LOL !
Only problem I have to work out now is consistantly throwing my low punches and hooks.
This Wii stuff has SO much potential. I can't wait to see how they implement fight night on this system.Comment

Re: Official Wii Discussion
With Wii Boxing, it doesn't feel like I have any control of what punches I throw other than the left/right head & body jabs, but thats it. So far, tennis and bowling are my favorites.

Bowling is my favorite...until I put Zelda in of course!
I don't know if this has been mentioned, but they are going to be selling Mii Play with a Wii mote only for 50 bucks in January.DON'T PANICComment

Re: Official Wii Discussion
I am starting to get a feel for what brings about consistent body punches/uppercuts. If you drop the controls down to your waste till you see the wrist holes of the gloves,(gloves on your fighter on the screen) fighter then flick your wrist so that the top of the control points toward the tv, you will do a uppergut to the gut. If you kinda flick your had out and down while your hands are low, you will do a hook to the body.
When I get this figured out to a science ill post more.Comment

Re: Official Wii Discussion
Kinda funny too. I remember when i got my ps2 i also got s-video cables and noticed the difference in SSX right away. With this, not so much.
I am speaking about a 32" hdtv, so YMMV with bigger tv's.Comment

Re: Official Wii Discussion
I disagree. I dont think the difference is that big. A little less fuzzy and just a bit more crisp, but no huge leap like going from sdtv to hdtv or something.

Re: Official Wii Discussion
I plan to get a Wii myself, but curious - is there any concern about developers "dumping" existing titles onto it, Wii-fying it up and marketing it as new?HBO's "The Wire" should rank as one of the top 10 shows EVER on tv - period
