What an accessory! We've had to change batteries twice already, and I've only had the system for like a month. This is going on my list.....

Forgive me if this has been asked/answered before, but has anyone had positive/negative experiences with using rechargeable NiMH batteries with the Wiimote?

I just picked up a Wii today at Walmart and love it so far!!

Anyone know how to turn off only one remote? I keep on playing 2 player Wii Sports, and then I only want to play by myself, but I can't figure out how to turn the second remote off without turning off the whole system.

I'm pretty sure it will turn off automatically after a couple of minutes of inactivity.

I think when you see that section at the bottom (main console screen) where it shows the remotes battery power.....you can turn it off there.

I know I change which controller is 1st etc there.

I bought some rechargeable Energizer batteries that work great. It was 15 bucks for 4 plus the charger at Wal-Mart. If Nintendo releases an official docking station I'll look into it, but for now I'm good.

My search for a Wii is complete. I took the easy way out and bought one off ebay from someone who lives here in B'ham. I got it for $340. About $75 more than I would pay with tax but I'm sick of looking. I'm picking up Saturday. Woohoo!!

Congrats on scoring one... I keep telling one of my buddies to get one on ebay. He's probably spent at least $75 on gas money from driving all over the place looking for one!

That charging station does look pretty cool... easier then regular rechargable batteries, and a nice place to store your remotes.

As for the remote sound that's funny billsjunkie... the original reason I turned it off was because my wife was asleep and the "ding" noise from Wii Sports kept waking her up.

I'm not exactly sure how much time i've put in... but i've been playing for a least an hour or two every day since x-mas. I've had my sound turned off from about the second day and i'm still on my original batteries. Not sure how accurate the battery gauge is, but they both still say full power too.
