Okay, so I'm still very confused. I mean the things you guys said were fine, but now I don't understand how I back up trophies. It says it would sync it with a server on another username I have (for a European account), but what does that do exactly? I'm not exactly understanding how this portion works.

In the meantime, it looks like backing this stuff up will take quite some time. Guess I can be patient until I find out the trophy thing anyway.

Okay well forget it. There's something wrong with my external hard drive, and it can't be accessed. I've been listening to music on it for the longest time now, but ever since I tried to copy over By the Way (acoustic) by Theory of a Deadman after I bought it on iTunes it keeps freezing up on the computer. Not only that, but my PS3 freezes up when I play the song. I deleted it, but it's still having that problem.

i would suggest connecting the drive to your computer and running scandisk to check it for errors. as far as the trophies thing, those aren't stored anywhere locally. they're on the PSN servers, so no matter what ps3 you use, if you log into your account, it'll show your trophies

Well now I can't even access my external HDD, neither on my computer nor on my PS3. I didn't even freakin' do anything to it! Just tried to copy over a purchased iTunes song (and it's the only song that freezes it BTW) and it crashes! This is bull****!

Sounds like either a dying drive or dying SATA to USB circuitry for the connection. Couple of questions:

              1. What kind of drive is it? Is it under warranty?

              2. What happens when you hook it to the computer, is it recognized at all?

I'm getting a "not enough space" message when I try to download demos. I don't have much stored ... maybe 100 songs, 5 other demos ... it's a first generation 60gb.

                Any suggestions?

Well, do you have enough space? I mean, delete some Game Data you don't have the game for and that should clear it up. Game Data takes up a lot of space, you might not even realize it.

                      250GB PS3 Slim Uncharted 2 bundle leaked

Well, what do we have here? No sooner do we get a 250GB Xbox 360 on the horizon does this image land in our tip box, showing a PlayStation 3 slim bundle for Uncharted 2 that just so happens to have that 250GB hard drive we spotted in the FCC last month. We've been able to independently confirm that it's legit, but beyond that we've got no clue when it'll be announced or any price / release date information. We wouldn't be surprised to see this hit stores in mid-October alongside Uncharted 2, but that's just a guess on our part. With any luck, SCE exec Kaz Hirai will be shedding some light at his Tokyo Game Show keynote next week -- c'mon Sony, don't keep us in the dark too long.

Update: Joystiq points us to this rumor from last week that Uncharted 2, Assassin's Creed II, and Gran Turismo 5 bundles are possibly slated for the UK in October for £299 ($494), just £50 more than the current 120GB model.

while I do believe this is happening, that box looks like a pretty horrible shoop job to me.

Update: Sony America says, "That tip is a complete fabrication." To be clear, this statement does not represent SCE (Japan) or SCEE (Europe), though it does absolutely deny the existence of any 250GB PlayStation 3 bundle in the US this year.
