Yep, that too. Only reason I'm getting it this year is b/c the Mrs. offered to buy it for me since she knows that due to my current job status, I won't be buying myself much of anything this year. I traded in some older games and am getting rid of my DS, so really, it shouldn't cost her much.

Me to DJ, only sports games. NBA live 10, NHL 10, etc are all perfect for me for a while.

It's complicated, I didn't really enjoy the demo but I was willing to give it a chance after watching some independent reviews on YouTube. The concept of the game is fun, but its also hard as hell. But it gets enjoyable after you have a working build in place. It's not a game I'd recommend to a casual gamer but rather a classic RPG enthusiast. It also requires you to have a lot of patience in dealing with potential frustration. It's game I'd say would be worth checking out when its in the under $40 range.

I bought 38 games last year.

            Would've been 45 if my PS3 was working. (Infamous,Flower,Killzone 2,Fat Princess,PJ Shooter,NobyNoby Boy,Afrika,XEdge and also would've got The Show instead of 2K9)

4 so far this year: Bayonetta,ME 2,Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom and Deadly Premonition.

Re: Guilt, gaming and the "too many games" syndrome

I haven't purchased a single game in 2010. But, I just realized I ****ed up my NBA 2K10 Association that I've been playing since December. I was hoping that would hold me over but, now that it's messed up, I know I'm not going to get into another Season before The Show drops. Now, my options are:

              a) Start a new Association
              b) Finish Assassin's Creed II
              c) Play Mario Bros on the Wii with my GF
              d) Start Ghostbuster's or Wolverine (two games I bought in Dec and have yet to play)
              e) Just me patient and wait
              f) go out and buy Heavy Rain

Man, Heavy Rain looks awesome and I really want to play it. But, I don't know, maybe being patient and playing one of the games I already have will hold me over because I know this time next week I'm going to be playing The Show pretty much exclusively for awhile. Hmm, decisions.... decisions

Wolverine is like 3-5 hours long. You could always sim back to the same place in your association.

last week bought Bioshock 1 and 2 (how did I not get into Bioshock sooner?), bought Halo Wars again because I'm craving some RTS and today bought the new DLC for Borderlands. That's all on top of me wanting to do second playthroughs Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age and still wanting to put quality time in multiplayer for MW2, L4D2, Team Fortress 2, Gears 2, as well as my season in FIFA 10. And I plan on getting the Dragon Age expansion, Super Street Fighter IV and possibly Perfect Dark all within the next two months.

                            Yeesh.

I've spent a total of $6 this year on video games. Bought NCAA March Madness 2004 for the PS2 (had to get it b/c I'm a huge SU fan and Melo is on the cover) and NBA 2K8 (so I can import draft classes from College Hoops and it's a good change of pace from Live 10).

I'm taking advantage of the 50% extra trade-in credit @ Gamestop and am taking back Mass Effect and few other games. Not sure if I'll buy anything or just hold on to the store credit.
