Re: New Xbox 360
The optical cable makes the sound much more clear through your Surround Sound system.
Its a small black port on the back where if you open the little trap door a red beam is inside. You can find one off of amazon for about a penny and up if you look hard enough. Monoprice has em at good deals as well. They really arent expensive but yeah looks like one of these

Re: New Xbox 360
To bad my Old "CUSS WORD" Bose system does not have an Optical input because this would be the way to go. I just can't muster up the nerve to part with my Bose system. The thing just has a banging sound after 7 years and still going like the day I bought it. Peace!!!Last edited by Flightwhite24; 03-02-2011, 12:33 PM.The poster formerly know as "FLIGHTWHITE"Comment

Re: New Xbox 360
Is there a spot for the optical cable on the 360 slim? I don't see it on my Halo edition.Comment

Re: New Xbox 360
Most flat screens have an optical jack as well. So you could just hook up your tv that way too. Because whatever runs through the tv will run out that jack to your home theatre system as well.Comment

Re: New Xbox 360
Hey guys. I'm thinking about picking this up.
I may have a deal in place where I can sell my old 360 and Assassins Creed II to a friend of a friend for $175. Which means I'll essentially be paying $150 (after taxes) to upgrade.
My one question is, does the new system support .avi playback? I have a lot of movies that I'd like to watch on the 360, otherwise, it kind of makes having a 250 gb hard drive useless for me. If anyone can answer that and let me know if the above deal is good, that'd be great!Comment
