    Re: New Xbox 360

So I went to game stop to trade in my 360 slim to get a new matte finish one. (I already have an extra 250gb hd)

Well I go and the guy at GS tells me I cant trade it in because in the back of the new slim 360 there is a white sticker that if there is a red line on any part of that white sticker then they cannot take it in.

I asked him what the hell did that mean. He said that the red line means that heat was applied to that area. I told him it was in an open area and heat is generated when it is on like anything that uses power.

He said that sticker has to be white. And did not take it in

I was pissed and walked out. I am going to sell it on craigslist

        1. Not sure but why not use hdmi which is cheap

        2. 2 ports in front and 3 in the back (USB)

        3. You cannot use that memory card. It uses USB sticks now

Log onto XBL on your gamertag then go to Account Management then download history. You will be able to download anything you've downloaded in the past again for free.

Eh, 6th xbox(5 refurbished) and the 3 red rings of death came out.

Luckily, in the area we live, there is a guy that fixes it for $45 bucks and I can get it back in 3 hrs.

Cheaper, faster than MS service, plus, out of warranty.

The thought crossed my mind when the repair guy said, "At least now you don't have to pay $300.00 for a Slim.

He told me it's going to be 3 yrs before the new ones come out.

Just hope this one doesn't nickel and dime me to death. We'll see.

Question- How much will 4 GB vs. 250 GB hinder me? Can you still buy a new hard drive like you could with old 360s Looking long and hard into picking up a 4gb.

Slim 4Gb would be $199, while the 250gb will be $299. The HDD separately can be bought for $129 new or buy a 3rd party from ebay or Amazon for $40-$55. The 3rd party ones work fine, that is what I had bought a few weeks ago off of ebay and so did a few others.

What happened WS, deciding to add a 360 to the mix?

Well, the PS3 died about a week and a half ago. I figure this generation is coming to an end in a couple of years, so it's now or never if I want a 360. Not to mention I've played just about everything there is to play on the PS3. Not saying I won't go back, because when I can afford one of those I definitely will purchase, but I'm feeling a switch.

Considering I've never owned a 360, the backlog of games I want to play is immense, and most are old and cheap.

My question was more along the lines of asking if 4GB is really a feasible amount of memory. I've looked into the prices and the 4GB is obviously more appealing.

The 4gb should be fine for game saves. With 4gb you won't be able to install games to the HD (but with the new slim its not as big of deal because it's pretty quiet).

If you need more space you can always use a couple of 16gb flashdrives to give you up to 36gb (4+16+16) without having to get a harddrive (you can install games to the flashdrives). I think the only issue with not having a hard drive is that some of the sports games require a hard drive for some replays, but I'm not sure about that.

It would probally be a pain to download more than one Demo or so at a time if that matter to you. Also don't froget DLC. 4 GB doesn't go far man.

yeah, I added an ebay'd 250GB HDD to my arcade slim for $50 shipped. I feel that the arcade is the better slim hardware with 4 GB's of internal flash for whatever, and it looks better in matte black. Then you can put the savings from not buying the $299 model towards Live or a game. The only thing to watch out for when buying a third party HDD is to get it from a reputable seller. Probably like 90% of the people selling these don't bother to include the Xbox 1 backwards compatibility partition.

MSFT just announced a matte 250gb slim. They are going to offer the matte and piano black 250gb skus.
