Impressions:
Puissance Nintendo est très heureux d’être le premier site au monde à avoir eu la chance d’approcher la 3DS XL. De la voir pour de vrai, de la prendre en main… pour pouvoir livrer à nos fidèles lecteurs toutes nos impressions.
- Huge screen
- Better viewing angle
- 3D effect looks better/more effective/more natural
- 2D mode looks better than regular 3DS
- Image looks better/softer (they assume there might be some filter but not sure)
- The grip (round corners) fit nicely
- Unit fits better in hands (they wonder if it should've been the main design in the first place)
- Unit is lighter than they expected
- There's a coat in the unit (not fully matte) that gives it a "deluxe plastic imitating metal" look
- Not sure at the sound as the room was quite noisy
Streaming Liga 1 Indonesia sekarang makin mudah dan gratis di JalaLive. Gak perlu akun, langsung tonton semua laga!
- The screen looks good, very good
- While the image looked worse on a DSiXL than on a DSi, it's not the case here. 3DSXL pixels look as defined as on 3DS.
- The screen seems very luminous
- 3D effect is more comfortable and more immediate
- The analog stick is more convenient to use, no need to bend your thumb anymore

Re: Nintendo 3DS
I'm ****ing pissed that the silver one is Europe only. The other two colors aren't really my thing, will wait for cases to come out before I trade up.Comment

I'm thinking the same thing. I have a CPP on my current 3ds, so I'd like a viable alternative for the XL before upgrading. The screen real estate is what I'm liking best.

Yah. I like that silver as well. So weird to me that different regions get different colors.Comment

I find it odd that the CPP was not added to the XL. Nintendo did say they are releasing a CPP for the XL, you know how huge that thing will be.Comment

Re: Nintendo 3DS
XL looks nice, but still not enough games worth caring about for me personally...
How many "Must Own" games are there really? I have Zelda, RE, SMB, and Mario Kart....I know Kid Icarus would be fun, but not sure that's "must own"...
Am I missing that many games? Just seems to me that a bigger version of the 3DS isn't what anyone needs right now...Last edited by mgoblue; 06-28-2012, 12:37 PM.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Nintendo 3DS
Seriously...that's hardly a "portable" gaming system at that point...

As far as must-have games... how many games do we really need at one time? Mario Kart, Mario 3D Land, Kid Icarus, Resident Evil, Star Fox, Zelda, plus games that were shown at E3 (Castlevania is one that looks phenomenal IMO). Maybe it's just how I game on a portable, playing maybe 30min to 1hr at a time, and the fact that I play through games multiple times... but I think there are plenty of must-haves right now to work through.
Again though, I don't see why the list of must-haves effects whether or not the XL exists. Like I said, for people that wanted a bigger screen (I'll probably be one of them), or for those that don't already have the system, well, now that option is there.Comment

Re: Nintendo 3DS
I don't know... options never hurt. It's not like anyone is being FORCED to upgrade. For those that do want a bigger screen however, now they have that choice. And, based off the impressions Flawless posted, I personally do think it's worth the upgrade.

They always upgraded the DS hardware when it was popular and had tons of games, not when it had fewer games and was struggling a bit...
Doesn't impact me (I won't buy it), just seems like a questionable decision now for Nintendo.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

The prospect of using Netflix on the original 3DS seems funny to me, while the XL looks much more attractive. Definitely has us considering a purchase.
