Played the Fire Emblem demo last night ... blown away! I knew the game was made by the same people behind the Advance Wars series, but did not know that the FE combat had a real-time strategy element to it. I can see this game being very addicting and whereas before I was thinking I would play on Casual, I'm thinking of going with Classic when I start playing.

But, I have to finish A Link Between Worlds first, and I am having a blast with this game.

So glad I finally bought a 3DS.

I picked up a black 3ds xl with a link between worlds Sunday from target (had the Black Friday deal again) and then went and got Pokemon Y at Walmart. I've only been able to get about an hour in with Zelda since I've had finals but I've really enjoyed it so far.

Side note does holding the system give anyone else hand cramps? I had to take a break after 30minutes because it was really bothering me.

Luigi's Mansion does for me. I don't like the way I have to hold the system to use the shoulder buttons.

I picked up a black 3ds xl with a link between worlds Sunday from target (had the Black Friday deal again) and then went and got Pokemon Y at Walmart. I've only been able to get about an hour in with Zelda since I've had finals but I've really enjoyed it so far.

Congrats on the purchase!

The XL is a great fit for me. My hands used to cramp up all the time playing on the DS Lite and DSi, but I haven't had any issues with the XL, and I've played up to 2 hours at a time on it.

Maybe I'm just not used to the you have to hold handhelds since this is my first since the GBA or SP can't remember. Hopefully I'll get use to it. No pain no game I suppose.

Bravely Default 'side-story' demo coming January 2

During its Nintendo Direct presentation today, the company announced that on January 2, a "side-story" demo will launch that offers a special area not found in the main game.

The demo will let you tinker with the battle system, job classes, and StreetPass functions--all without having to repeat the demo content again when the full game comes out. You can also import some item packs from the demo into the main game.

Maybe I'm just not used to the you have to hold handhelds since this is my first since the GBA or SP can't remember. Hopefully I'll get use to it. No pain no game I suppose.

That SP wrecked my hands. It was so small. I suffered through because the games were good, but man, that was not comfortable at all.

I have a regular 3DS and an XL and it took me a while to adjust to the XL. I thought the regular 3DS was more comfortable to hold and the XL would give me hand cramps. I've gotten used to it recently, though.

Just bought Bravely Default off the 3DS store as I'm off on holiday tomorrow. 23,000 blocks holy smokes! Have had to go get a new SD card to fit it on but this should make the trip a good one.

I have the XL, I have no problems with cramps when I am sitting up playing. If I'm laying down and looking up at the screen I do get cramps after about 1/2 hour. Its fine because the only time I playing laying down is before bed so I don't play for that long anyhow.

i picked up a 2ds for my 5 1/2 year old. he loves wrestling, so i snagged him a used copy of WWE All Stars for 15 bucks. couldn't find it new anywhere! bah..

i was setting it up, ended up playing a few matches to unlock some guys for him. not a bad little system. i could see myself snagging a title or two and playing through them at night when in bed. not bad, not bad at all! he will have a blast with this..

After getting a PS4 and a vita already I figured I was done for the year. But with the Target sale for the 3DSXL at 150, I couldn't pass that up. I got Mario Kart 7 with mine, are there other games that are must play?

There are a lot of must-play games, probably too many to list. Any of the first-party games are a good place to start.
