Re: Xbox One
I like Sony and Nintendo and that is why I don't tend to post in here much. I did think that Recore looked interesting but I have heard it was not that good and a disappointment.Comment

Re: Xbox One
I'm 100% the opposite. I like to game, but I've found that no matter what platform I have, there are more games than I have time for. Buying multiple consoles just devalues the hobby, as I'm spending more money, taking up more space, and increasing my clutter, but I'm not spending any more time gaming.
When I moved back into console gaming, I just stopped my subscription to PC Gamer and just read up on the games on the platform I am playing on. I have a Mac, so I play a few games on it, but obviously gaming is zero concern for what I choose to use as a computer.
If I had bought a PS4, I really wouldn't care what was available on the XB1. And I would have no problem finding enough games to play. That wouldn't mean Halo 5 and gears 4 are bad, just that I can actually live just fine if I don't play every must have game.
Everyone's different and no matter the console I usually make time for gaming. There's games that both consoles have that I love and enjoy. I'm a baseball fan so if I only have an Xbox I never get to play MLB the show, and I'm also a racing fan but Sony takes forever to come out with their grand turismo games. Forza on the other hand comes out more frequently and I prefer it over grand turismo. So If i only had one console I'd miss out on games I love. Clutter, space and money isn't really issue or hurting me so I'm ok with that plus I keep all my stuff neat.

I can understand trying to be neat and that is getting to be a issue because I now have a SNES, Gamecube, Wii, Wii u, Ps3, Ps4, 4k player and a cable box all plugged into my TV and I don't really have any space left on my tv stand to put systems but I don't see me stopping when it comes to consoles. I do have a hard time keeping up with all the games though just not enough hours in the day.

Re: Xbox One
I have a 4K TV without HDR and the Xbox One S. When I play a 4K blu ray disc it outputs a message saying to connect Xbox to 4K tv with HDR for maximum performance or something to that effect. Can you not get 4K resolution from a 4K blu ray if your TV doesn't have HDR?

Look at Sony exclusives. Horizon: Zero Dawn, Days Gone, God of War IV, Detroit: Become Human and others past and future are primary focused on being single player campaigns. Outside of Uncharted 4, TLOUR and Killzone: Shadow Fall, do any of the Sony exclusives even have online multi-player?
Anyway, that's the number one reason why I prefer Sony exclusives over Microsoft exclusives. Sony's primary focus is the single player aspect which as a single player gamer is what I want the most. After that, it's about what the genre of the game is.
You are acting like gears and halo having multiplayer as well as campaigns is a bad thing. Which I can't get on board with. And I'm pretty sure last of us has a multiplayer mode.Comment

Re: Xbox One
To me xbox games have always been crap ever gen. Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted 4, TLG, Drive club are all much better then any thing on xboxone and Horizon zero dawn also looks better then any of the crap on xboxone. Also have Spider-Man at some point. That is 6 games that are most likely going to be better then any thing xboxone ever gets. I do think ps4 compared to ps3 the amount of games have been down but that could be starting to chance considering we got TLG towards the end of 2016 and now have Horizon zero dawn coming out shortly and also have Spider-Man maybe this year plus what ever other games we may not know about it.
Haha drive club is better than forza? Ok then.Comment

You should be able get 4k. Just not 4k with hdr. Did you check your 4k settings in the Xbox menu? Also are you using a receiver of any kind that possible isn't 4k compatible?Comment

Re: Xbox One
When you come into any thread and list games and say something like "that's 6 games that will be better than anything ever coming out on another console" you can't expect to not get called out. That's a ridiculous thing to say.Comment

Screw it.....a freaking racing/driving game in Forza Horizon 3 surpasses EVERY single PlayStation 4 exclusive through 2016. Wouldn't be surprised if after Horizon: Zero Dawn releases that Forza is still the better Horizon. And if im saying this, it's the damn truth.
The Order 1886 was developed in mind of being a trilogy. Granted, thus far, that doesn't appear to be happening but still, that was Sony's intent. Microsoft needs to do the same thing even if it doesn't work.
Gears of War 4 campaign was excellent and still my 2016 game of the year but the majority of people who buy it don't buy it for the campaign. They buy it for the online aspects. The single player campaigns in Microsoft exclusives whether good or bad are secondary to them and those who buy it.
That's what im saying. Has nothing to do with the quality of the single player campaign. Has to do with what Microsoft focuses and cares about the most. The developers could love the single player campaigns but going to back to the original Xbox, that's not the aspect and component that Microsoft cares about.
I said TLOUR has a multi-player component. The difference is that for Uncharted 4, TLOUR, etc., the majority who buy them play them for the single player story campaign first and foremost. The multi-player aspect is secondary.
It's basically the opposite between the two consoles, their visions, what they offer, what they focus on and care about. Nothing to do with good or bad. It's just that Microsoft's vision is online multi-player (just look at Scalebound) first and foremost while Sony's vision is single player story first and foremost.
Sorry if you think that im bashing the single player campaigns of Gears of War 4 because im definitely not doing so. Hope you can just get what im saying in regards to how Sony and Microsoft view their exclusives and what their primary focus is on.Comment

Re: Xbox One
Of course Sony has more variety, they have more volume. The only Xbox exclusives that matter are Halo, Gears, and Forza. Sony has more properties but they're just as guilty of online stuff as MS in my opinion. Going back to Demon's Souls with the Souls online, even now DriveClub was intended to be a social experience, they just failed. How does Scalebound being canceled show that MS is multi-player focused? It was a single player game that they didn't like how it turned out, it had nothing to do with multi-player. The difference is that MS doesn't seem to think it's important at all to have a wide array of exclusives, or the ones that they do have are random one offs like the Remedy games or Sunset Overdrive. Sony has just had a ton more time to hone in on the franchises they think are important and also at taking chances in launching new IPs in the first place.
Microsoft just tends to make, IMO, big mistakes. I remember when EA bought Bioware thinking "how the hell do you let this company making such critically acclaimed exclusives go?" The answer seems to be they have different priorities than me.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

Microsoft basically killed the game by forcing an online component that was never originally intended for the game and then cancelled it. Makes no sense at all.
BioWare, Epic Games and Bungie all come to mind. It's the equivalent of Sony one day letting Naughty Dog, Sony Santa Monica and Sucker Punch/Guerrilla Games go. Simply mind boggling.Comment

Not like Sony's fully hitting on all theirs either, just have a lot more volume currently.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment
