Re: Xbox One
I will say that the good part about buying Xbox One games digitally is you don't have to worry about the disc breaking. I know the Xbox 360 had a big problem with games getting the "Death circle". Personally I take great care of my games, but accidents can happen. Now with this new buy the disc and that is it concept you don't have to worry about things such as this..Comment

Re: Xbox One
Ok, so the accidental breaking of a disc causes digital to be a positive because accidents can happen - So why isn't the Kinect HAVING to be connected for the machine to work not looked as a problem. Afterall, accidents do happen except in a case where the Kinect breaks, you're SOL to play any of your games until you go purchase another $100 piece of hardware.Comment

Re: Xbox One
$100 is nothing to a lot of people? Wow.
$100 is a nice amount of change to people who aren't fully committed to gaming especially when there's as or more powerful alternative with less restrictions or requirements.
Those that are not gamers... $100 is even a bigger amount, actually in that case it's $500 for the non gamer. That's reality of the situation.Comment

WSJ: EA has a position of looking at used games from a user standpoint and a gamer standpoint,” he said. “We will definitely be looking at gamer-first and creating an opportunity to have a relationship with used games such that it’s a positive experience.”
The company plans to release its games policy within the next couple of weeks, Gibeau said in a separate interview, and it will take into account things like its own now-abandoned attempt to restrict disc game resales called Online Pass, which did not do well with consumers. “The policy we do come out with will have that in mind,” he said, and it will likely be the same policy across all its console games. “A nuanced and sophisticated approach is important instead of a blunt instrument.”Comment

Re: Xbox One
I have preordered both. I probably will not get both. I am leaning PS4 because I want to play BF4 with the OS guys.
However, I have a feeling that when it gets closer to release date that MS will change some of it's policies and the boxes will not be too different in what they actually offer. I'm interested to see what happens over the summer and early fall.PSN: Koolie_G

Re: Xbox One
Solidice, I'm pretty sure you are right that the controller sensors are in the Kinect or at least it detects the controllers. They have stated if you are playing split screen and switch seats with somebody, your part of the screen will change based on where you moved relative to the tv.Comment

Good news for people who get banned from Live:
According to Major Nelson, even if you are banned, you will still have access to your purchased games.Comment

Re: Xbox One
I remember when gaming consoles weren't this complicated. I'm gonna miss the days of putting the game in and playing it whether it was new or used it didn't make a difference. My have the times changed.Comment
