With the PS Eye not coming with the PS4 this will greatly hurt this feature for PS4, I don't see it being very popular on the PS4 because of this. TWITCH will take off on the XO like Mics did for Xbox Live because the Kinect comes with it.

        You don't need the PSEye/Kinect for Twitch/UStream.

Those that want it for streaming will buy it. It works plenty fine on the PC without a webcam.

Wait. What does having a physical camera have to do with streaming gameplay footage? I fail to see how the Kinect will give some sort of advantage in the streaming of someone's game.

It's common to do both at the same time. Often people arent just streaming gameplay, but answering questions and stuff on camera.

I imagine twitch will be bombarded with a bunch of half assed broadcasts if anything.

Guys who already "made it" on twitch already have the equipment so the console wont affect them all that much really. But there will definitely be a large sea of new channels popping up on twitch with this xbox integration, same as ustream and PS4.

Simple I use my 360 controller for both my PS3 and 360. Lol.

When I do use my PS3 controller it really not bad until I play a shooter that doesnt allow you to switch the R2/L2 to R1/L1. Then I just get rid of the game. (Yes its that big of a problem.)

It's not Xbone news but it is great news though...

Microsoft no longer charges developers to patch their Xbox 360 games

There are caveats, we understand. If a developer is deemed to be making an excessive number of re-submissions due to an update failing certification, for example, Microsoft reserves the right to issue a charge. But the changes should make critics of Microsoft's closed platform happier - and align the Xbox ecosystem more closely with the likes of Steam.

Freaking finally. A developer shouldn't have to choose between fixing their game and paying 50k a patch.

There is a lot of picture in picture programming with Twitch. Maybe the Kinect/Eye will help with that.

Some of the content is way over my head. These turn based games, where the commentary is flowing, are crazy.

Twitch already has half-assed stuff. It's not like the PC is immune to it. Sure, we will see some silly things pop up when the consoles are in full stream, but it has good potential. Yesterday I was watching these two guys running commentary on some tournament or something. They are sitting there in suits and ties, and running really good commentary on Starcraft. It was odd but also cool at the same time.

I think for sports gaming this really can be something worthwhile. You could have fight cards set up where you have a commentary team, contribute to tournaments and leagues. There are a lot of geeky possibilities!

Oh dude, yes... the eSports commentators are pretty crazy. I watch plenty of Twitch everyday - though when I'm watching tournament matches I prefer to not have anyone on the screen, just a full view of the game.

That's just the world we live in now though. Release it to make a deadline and charge 60.00 for unfinished product... fix later.

Either way this past gen I mostly waiting until after release to sort out the crap from semi quality.
