Not that simple. I have never cheated in my life hence I have never been banned.

But under the new system, they are somewhat removing that from the Microsoft police and putting it in the hands of the XBOX Live users.

So if you get constantly avoided or get negative feedback (unwarranted), it will affect your Live standing in regards to who you are matched up with.

... how do you get "hundreds of hate mail" playing console games and what were you doing that got you called a modder/cheater? Specific game(s)?

All you have to do is run a pistol in Call of Duty and in a single day you'll be reported as a modder by at least 20 people.

That and pretty much anything. I have never run any of the cheese or bs tactics and still get it.

Though I will say the hate to positive mail has shifted the past year to being only 80% hate mail.

So I got that going for me which is nice.

I think it's the right thing to do. Especially for those of us who have purchased an expensive headset to use with a 360. Now that they are using a new technology for their headsets and knowing that an adapter piece may or may not be available at launch then IMO this is a good move.

They can throw in the kitchen sink with Playboy bunnies and Mexican Coke, but nothing is going to change my mind on their recent screw ups. Same jokers are still there that make the decisions, so more to come......

Yep. I'm still watching what happens between now and release.
I'm still somewhat interested but really want to see if they move at all on price.
I doubt it but we'll see.

I am still waiting on them to announce what type of benefits will those who choose to buy games digitally receive. Will they bring Family Share back? Will the games be cheaper? What will make someone stop buying games physically and go digital only ya know.

Love it in principle, but as someone who has been called a modder and cheater and received hundreds of hate mail, I am a little worried.

Same here. I cheated on words with friends once(iPhone app) lol that's about it. I don't even sit in corners on cod. People just love to make excuses. I'm at least 60% avoided and so are other people I know. Ridiculous.

I'm starting to get drawn back toward Xbox, as time goes on. I like that MS got knocked down a couple of pegs and hopefully realizes that they have to earn our loyalty. I want to hear more from both MS and Sony before I make my ultimate buying decision.
