I found a Xbox one stereo adapter for cheap but it's missing the provided cable. Do I need that cable to use my Sony gold wireless headset with the Xbox one. Or can I hook the 3.5mm cable that came with the gold headset straight into the adapter?

Planning on getting an xbox one because of forza....i have a ps4 and im enjoying drive club as an arcade racer but there are days when Im in sim mood....the only thing holding me back is the fact that project cars will be coming out next year...basically, im contemplating on spending for a sure thing(buy xbox one and forza) or save some money and take a risk on project cars...

Are you talking about the headset adapter that plugs into the controller? you can use the cable that came with the gold headset.

I liked Forza 5 but the issue was the lack of tracks. I know you want a sim racer but Forza Horizon 2 is hands down the most fun I have had in a racing game.

As much as I didn't like the newer XB360 dash, I wish there was an option to go back to it.

Playing CoD:AW and AC:Unity I noticed quite a few framerate drops, but the games are fun so that's what matters in the end. I'm surprised at CoD, I normally hate those games but I've been having fun with this one for what it is. I'm still not any good at it, but that's about what I expected.

Also, I haven't dug into FH2 much but that game is gorgeous.

Supposedly Unity is running like crud on both consoles, though, so take that for what it's worth.

Sounds like AC unity just doesn't run good on either console. Not shocking after the whole watchdogs thing. Sucks I was excited for it. Ubisofts needs to shape up.

Yep, they do. I pre-ordered Unity and Far Cry 4. Luckily I got 20% off with GCU and $10 dollar reward zone certificate with each.

What sucks is the Ubisoft is making the Division.

I'd be upset if I paid for the game. I mean it runs, it just gets really choppy.

However, it came with the console so it's just bonus fun.

Hey guys, I might be getting a One soon, and I have a couple questions:

Kinda vague, but how vital is the Kinect? I'm happy with my PS4 as just a gaming machine. Can I still do the snap feature and all that stuff?

Not vital at all.

You can still do snap (just double click the logo button at the top of the controller to pop up the snap menu) and you aren't missing out on anything. I was BSing with my friends back home and I asked them if they got the Kinect and just laughed at me. Came with their systems but they unhooked it after about two weeks.

I been having problems since the last update getting my controller to sync up. The only way to get around it has been to unplug the X box and restart it.

My 2 other friends have been having the same problem.

Like it be fine then after a little bit it just not work.

Are you part of the preview program?

I don't understand why people would just unhook it. It's very good at what it does. Of course it's not vital but it's frustrating to see posts like this that make it seem like the thing is a joke when in reality it is far from it. I use my kinect all the time.

Plenty of reasons to unhook it, none of which involve tinfoil hats.

You like it, it's not a joke to you. Everyone I know personally thinks it is a joke. Two different camps of thought, because we use our consoles differently. Nobody is really wrong here.

For gaming there is zero requirement for it unless you want to play the Kinect games they come out with.

Though personally I'd look towards PS4 if all you want is gaming, but you are right that most of Kinects features are non-gaming related.
