They definitely want you to use kinect. But I never saw that as a problem for me. Many of the voice commands are substantially faster than using a controller.

How do you get it to display your real name? I have seen friends sign in and it will say "Hello Doug" or whatever, but mine always says my gamertag, "Hello joet6683"

Edit - I found it online, I was always checking xbox.com for it, but it is there on account.live.com. Link to edit display name where mine is blank. But of course when you click it, web page cannot be found

Edit 2 - must have something to do with external email sites blocked at work, was able to get it done on my phone.

It's really early, but the only time I turn on my One is to get to my PS4 for the show. I'm an Xbox fanboy but I haven't had much reason to play it. especially with the horrible headset that doesn't work most of the time.

Packaged headset has worked fine for me. Much better voice quality than 360. Only issue is the connection to the controller is so tight I almost need a pliers to take it off.

Thanks, I've been wanting to change mine from Peter to Pete since my son also displays as Peter.

Does anyone know if with twitch, if you use your headset, does the headset then bypass kinect as a microphone?

It's all about preference. I have a buddy who has ps4 and a one and he is always bitching about there being no games for ps4. He plays a lot of PvZ and Titanfall. He isn't into baseball games though.

I'm burnt on on fps in general so I'm with you there. Big fan of PvZ though. A ton of unlocks to keep you playing and it's a fresh take on a shooter. Titanfall's biggest problem is lack of content for me.

I'm excited for e3 and the fall gaming wise. Can't wait for NHL and sunset overdrive.

It would be cool to see another Phantom Dust. Microsoft registered a new trademark for it yesterday. Also, Phil Spencer confirmed in March that their working with external partners on some older IP they own.

Microsoft registered a trademark for Phantom Dust in Europe, North America and the UK yesterday.
Phantom Dust was released for the original Xbox console and developed by Microsoft Game Studios with Panzer Dragoon’s Yukio Futatsugi as its producer and director.

The game sort of card-based action-strategy title and players would construct “arsenals” and battle other players and eventually became somewhat of a cult classic.

Futatsugi told Siliconera last year that should Microsoft – which owns the IP – ever wanted to make a sequel, he would jump at the opportunity.

“Of all the games I have created so far, Phantom Dust is my favorite,” he said. “Microsoft owns the IP, so if Microsoft would say they want to do it, I’m ready to jump on board immediately.

Looks like one of those rumors off of that like is true. I've been waiting for this for years. I had many up till 3am nights playing this on Gen 1 Xbox. Awesome.

I can't think of anything thats faster using voice commands rather than the controller, especially now that they've improved the responsiveness of the OS.

It's infinitely faster to say "Xbox go to Settings" or some other app vs having to turn on a controller, click to go home, cycle through to find settings tile. One happens in seconds, the other a lot longer.

I don't have controllers in while watching tv, that'd be a waste of batteries

Yeah voice is definitely quicker for a good amount of things.

BTW, pressing the "Menu" button on the home dash allows you to get settings without searching for your tile.

Good to know. Just hard for other apps if you don't pin them. Not a big deal but not always simple with controller.

Does anyone know if Turtle Beach x42 headset will work on the Xbox One?

I know for chat you have to buy the adapter but will the rest of it work with it?
