Why not get some cash for it, instead of throwing it out/having it sit around collecting dust?

Hey, good news! If you try to get a replacement mic, you have to pay to ship your broken one to them first. Its really awesome customer service.

Edit: As if the Microsoft overlords heard me, now my second headset isn't working. Great.

Don't know when your headset started acting up but there seems to be some issues with the latest update. The other night I couldn't hear anyone or be heard in game chat. I could be heard in party but couldn't hear anyone.

I did a hard reset and then I could hear everyone in game chat but couldn't be heard. Everything worked fine in party after the reset.

So it may have nothing to do with your headset.

What are you going to get for a kinect? Like 50 bucks? Over the course if this consoles lifespan it makes much more sense to keep it. What it does is well worth 50 bucks over 10 years or so.

I personally don't get selling the Kinect. I mean who is going to buy one? Most of the X1 install base already has one, and if you really wanted one as a new user it would make better sense just to buy the model/SKU that already comes with one.

Say he sells it on CL. He gets 50. That's a new game. Say the person gets the kinectless sku. That's 510 (or less with stuff like GCU) for console, Kinect and an extra game.

It's a win for both parties.

Does anyone in here happen to have the chat adapter, both consoles and the PS4 Gold headset?

I'm picking up a One when the Kinect-less SKU drops - I love the PS4 headset, it's fantastic - and was curious if anyone had used it on the XBox yet.

I know all the features won't work, but if it's still the best option I'd like to stick with it. I have a couple buddies that picked up some of the Turtle Beaches and they're kinda disappointed in them.

Say he sells it on CL. He gets 50. That's a new game. Say the person gets the kinectless sku. That's 510 (or less with stuff like GCU) for console, Kinect and an extra game.

I got the headset adapter and then never bit on a headset. I think I'm in search of a $150 or less unicorn I can use on both consoles and my PC competently and without much hassle. Would probably settle for both consoles, but have kinda tabled looking at them.

Wow, I use the Kinect with the TV all the time. Never have any trouble. Wife and Mom use it as well, no problems. Funny thing, it's alot easier for them to use Kinect than to operate the remote control.

With Xbox1 controlling the entertainment unit, they don't have to mess around with 3 remote controls, just use the voice commands.

I'm on the most recent dashboard beta, so maybe thats causing it.

As of right now, I don't know about game chat but in party chat my headset doesn't work at all. I can't hear people through it, and they can't hear me. If I want to talk to them I have to use the Kinect. Hopefully its just the current beta having issues.

I'm just a little annoyed because my first mic that came with the system actually did break(through no fault of my own), and Microsoft couldn't have been more useless on the phone when I wanted to replace it.

Yep. Works great if you use the adapter on the Golds. No simulated surround and just use them in passive, but I think they sound excellent with the One in stereo.

Pretty solid on the PS4. Has been shaky on One, but I wonder if it is more on Live and some of the dashboard issues it has had in the past more than the headphones as it does work fine at times.

I've used the PS4 wireless on PC and PS4 and have had no issues with either. They're comfy, and have done what I expected them to do.

Haven't had any issues with my PS4 headset mic on PS4 or PC. As before, I have no idea how it works with the XBOne.

Good to hear a positive review for it though.

If you have a wired PC headset (with 2 plugs, one mic, one sound) I got a cheap adapter that turns that into 1 plug that goes into the Xbox One adapter. That works pretty well.

I also have my PX5s which I set up to work with the Xbox One and have been liking that. The Xbox 360 adapter for PX5 works with the Xbox one, so I'm able to chat with my nice headset. Only knock on the PX5 is the occasional cutout of sound due to interference, but that's unavoidable on the first gen one. Hasn't been too bad for me so far, and I like the comfort/quality of them.
