It’s easier to do the right thing, than to explain why you didn’t.

Going to be time to shop for an external. I expdct that as they look to make a splash with the reworked Games With Gold I'm going to need it.

Edit: ignore the link bait headline, but looks like Skype now works in snap mode, letting you and a friend stare at each other while playing games together.

Haven't tried it today yet but I watched a couple of movies yesterday, including one late last night.

I'll probably be buying a new external to back up my PC and transfer one of those to the Xbox...I just forget if it's the exact size needed or not. Either way, you can get a 1 TB drive pretty cheap nowadays, so that's not a bad idea.

I don't need the added space quite yet. You're right with GWG though, that'll start filling my Xbox fast.

Is Xbox One different from PS4 in that you can bring the HD to another house/Xbox One, sign in, and use those games on it?

I seem to remember that with PS4 it was kinda locked to that PS4, but I may be wrong....

Either way, that's a pretty cool feature! If I get a 2nd One for another room it'd be an easier way to move games around and whatnot.

Not sure the ps4 has external drive support yet. Think a HDD has to be formatted to work in a new ps4.

Oh...one of the articles I saw said PS4 had it at launch, maybe they were wrong...

                Still a cool feature though!

I believe with the newest update it's supported, but only for exporting stuff to currently (like one's ShareFactory videos.)

                  Wasn't in at launch.

not sure about PS4, but in the xbox press release it specifically mentioned this is supported.

I hadn't heard anything about this. Great news. Have they said if it will play 360 disc or is it just for game downloads?

The best part about the next system update is that they're bringing back auto sign-in. Yet another feature that should have been there day one, but better late than never.

My auto-signs me in since day one. Just have to be in front of the TV.

Ya because the Kinect sees you and signs you in....

Without it you have to manually sign in

Exactly. They took a basic feature out to make the Kinect seem more valuable. Now that the Kinect won't be bundled, they're bringing it back.

I usually say, "xbox sign in David" and go from there. I do agree though that many navigational schemes are better carried out with voice. Notification checking is an example I think of.

They definitely want you to use kinect. But I never saw that as a problem for me. Many of the voice commands are substantially faster than using a controller.
