Agreed. Even as a PS3 guy, I think the 720 is getting a lot of premature hate. However, I do know that all we can do at this point is speculate. Oh, the great conundrum.

Right, maybe that is the new direction they want to move in simpler, back to basics style system, and interface?

I can see then trying to shoehorn the nextbox logo/marketing direction in with the Metro style, or whatever they call that new thing they are pushing.

Sadly, if this (meaning the focusing on integration with windows 8 and that style) coupled with the kinect news means I'm going with PlayStation this upcoming generation.

Microsoft doesn't have any exclusives that interest me... It's funny because last gen I had owned 3 360s before I even bought a ps3.

We just need e3 or whenever they release their details to hit so we finally get concrete information.

Why? 'Just calling it XBox' is better sounding than the ridiculous sounding XBox 360/720 names. If they named it the XBox 3, that would probably be the best choice.

PlayStation took the right route in console naming. Microsoft & Nintendo this generation? Not so much.

Bacause like I stated before there would be confusion. Moms buying stuff for their kids would be confused by it. For example: Kid gets a new xbox, mom then shops for cheapest xbox game online which would be original xbox game which kid does not want. There are a lot of people that have no clue what certain things are and would not think they are getting old tech if that makes any since.

Just hate the idea of reusing a name. Its like if the WiiU was named Ninitendo again or PS4 was just named PS.
