They are going with the trend. I don't see anyone complaining because their iPhone/Android has all of these extra things and doesn't just make phone calls better.

If Kinect really is required for the Xbox to work I hoped they fixed the technical limitation of having 6 feet between the camera and the user or I won't be able to buy an Xbox even if I wanted to as my den doesn't have that space.

I don't plan on giving up my 360 yet so I was wondering if anyone knows if I can have both 360 and X1 on xbox live?

I just watched game trailer TV and in an interview it was asked if you had to be online to play single player games. The answer was no. Multiplayer only. Also are there really people that can afford a $500.00+ gaming system and games at $75.00 a pop that don't have internet? What's the issue here? If you don't have an internet connection, don't buy the system, and if you don't have internet , how are you posting in this thread?

I think some people just like to bitch and moan. I can't wait to get my hands on this thing.

Well I tend to agree with you but there are many people who it's not a money issue it's a location issue. For example all of our troops out overseas and odd locations who don't have any internet connection. Guess those guys will be playing PS4's...

Im sure it can play non kinect games even in cramped spaces. I worry if that thing falls on the ground and breaks, or a circuit in it comes loose will my box be completely worthless until I replace it.

I post in this thread/on these forums mostly from my phone.

It's not about the fact that people have/don't have internet.

It's the fact that we as a country have a ****ty infrastructure for our interwebs.

Just seems like consoles are going like PC gaming. I buy games on Steam and can't trade them in. When you buy a PC game you own it and that's it.

I love the sales they have on Steam, so if that type of market came to consoles it'd be great!

It probably has to update and connect to Skynet to be sure you didnt mod your xbox. Hence the at least once a day connection. Its a BS way to prevent piracy.

                              Meh, skynet be damned.

I need to connect to PSN to play on it, but I still have my modded PS3 chugging along just fine even with their checks.

For a day or two after firmware updates I'm out of luck... but I accept that. Not that my PS3 is even really used for gaming anymore.

Some people take issue with requiring internet to even play your game. If your internet goes out or is unreliable, then you can't even play anything. The new Sim City had problems keeping their servers up, which also rendered the game unplayable. Not like it matters, as the game still sold over 1.5 million copies.

It has nothing to do with being too poor to afford internet. I live in rural NC and my only option is AT&T dsl. Sometimes it's fine, other times it goes down multiple times an hour.
