Whole Kinect thing kinda reminds me when MS made Live Broadband Only and forced the use of Headsets....

Now I never have played with Kinect, but this forced use could actually lead to some good things, just as the early xbox live planned literally wrote the book on how to do a online console service.

Based on NPD and other sales numbers, I don't blame them for making sure that their box has alternate revenue streams.

Not like it truly matters all that much - 99% of the big releases are always multi-platform.

Sony has "better" RAM (in numbers, real world performance might not see much of an upgrade) and a better GPU. The PS4 RAM is basically better for a lot of bandwidth.

We've seen Forza. What other exclusives are there currently to get excited about? Halo? Gears of War? Random unknown FPS #3?

MS hasn't given anyone a truly good reason to get excited about exclusives for quite some time - especially when their only good ones are pretty much all FPS games.

Halo 4 made $220M in sales on launch day. GOW is a multi-million seller.

Let's not act like OS posters' individual likes/dislikes represent the global gaming community.

I can't stand all these Ultimate Team modes that I think sports games waste their time making. But people love it.

MSFT is going to do numbers whether or not their games are your cup of tea.

That's just reality.

If you want to look at it that way... Gears of War 3 was the worst selling of all the GoW trilogy.

There's only so many times one can go back to the well without gamers getting tired of the same thing - if the playstation exclusives are played out then so are the 360 exclusives. At least the PS4 has a variety to fall back on.

Ubernoob, I can't agree with you on the exclusives argument just yet. You're assuming a lot on Sony's end. Killzone is the only Sony exclusive we really know about. We can assume GT6, but that's on the PS3 as well.

Microsoft has something coming from Rare, Crytek, and whatever that game was yesterday from their own studio (couldn't watch that part in class). They've said 15 exclusives in the first year.

Sony hasn't said much, though we know they have something coming. Still, I see way too much assumption to make that argument definitively.

Also, Microsoft has been spending the last two years opening studios to make new games. Who knows if those games will be any good but they won't be the same franchises from this generation, which was said during the conference yesterday.

15 exclusive games (8 of those completely new) within the first year of console release they said....
