The Xbone pricepoint is too steep for me right now and the exclusives suck IMO. Not paying money for an achievement.

I will wait until 2014 to snag mine and not even be upset about it since Arkham Origins, Madden25, GTAV, and a bunch of other titles will be avialable on the 360.

I want to play games. I said previously that WiiU could even win me over, but the 3rd party games are really what won me over. That's where I was wowed. Then knowing games like Last of Us will eventually hit the PS4 and how great Infamous looked, it was an easy decision to go PS4 (for now LOL)

Luckily, I still have ExtremeGamer on PSN
It's not even a cable box. It's a user controlled interface for your cable coming through your cable box which you still have to pay for.

No doubt. I mean I have complained about switching discs, but it's not that big of a deal.

I see what MS thought they were doing, and like the entertainment aspects still, but not thinking any of that is worth the pain they're giving us. Need to think a little bit more and let this all settle, but I'm 90% sure going towards PS4 next gen. I don't think the tv and kinect stuff will make it worth being a pain to trade in games and stuff.

I don't think I'd really use those "log in at other people's houses and download games" features.

You don't install from the cloud. You install your game from CD or sign in and download on their machine, and then you have to sign in to authenticate you are there as an owner to play it on another machine. How is that at all "innovative"?

You didn't have to bring the disc with you...

I agree though, while I see what they're going for it's proven to be a terrible miscalculation.

With Sony coming in at 399 they're going to dominate at first this gen.

              Re: Xbox One

I'll likely get both, but I'm sure I'll be in the minority. Most people I know have one console, and even the less hardcore gamers know about all of this stuff going on right now.

The problem is, Microsoft pissed off the consumer. So even people that don't care too much about the used game stuff are going to have a bitter taste left in their mouths. You can't make the people you want to buy your product mad, because even if you are putting out the superior product (which they are not, by most accounts) people are going to go a different way based on principle.

Yeah, we'll have both for sure at some point. We'll have a PS4 connected to our Xbox One (as well as a DirecTV box, and probably a 360).

How would you connect all 3 to the Xbox One?

They'll all be connected to our audio receiver and then through the Xbox One, so they're all available on the same source on the TV and the capabilities of the One are available no matter what is being used.

                      Gotcha...forgot about that lol.

Used to have a receiver, but not a fan of the wires at the new house (and mine didn't do HDMI switching anyways).

I stick to TV sound and maybe getting a sound bar...

I still need to think about this, I want the tv stuff, but MS is making it so hard to convince me with all their decisions.

I have too much stuff to not have one... the HDMI and aux ports on it have an Ouya, 360, PS3, various phones, HDDVR, at one point a Wii, a Windows 8 tablet, a DSLR and others competing for spots at different times.

All the ones in bold will be gone from the living room by this time next year though if not this fall.

Your system apparently locks gaming until you verify by connecting to the internet. Your TV and Blue Ray features function normally though.

Owner of a 360 since November '07. Will be switching. MS probably killed off all college-age clientele. Whiskey tango foxtrot.

360 still has plenty of life left.
