The Xbone pricepoint is too steep for me right now and the exclusives suck IMO. Not paying money for an achievement.

Re: Xbox One
Pretty much how I feel. I gave them 10 years as a loyal customer, what do I get out of that? Halo 3 and Assassin's Creed 2 free? Force fed Kinect? A cable box inside my gaming system?
I want to play games. I said previously that WiiU could even win me over, but the 3rd party games are really what won me over. That's where I was wowed. Then knowing games like Last of Us will eventually hit the PS4 and how great Infamous looked, it was an easy decision to go PS4 (for now LOL)
Luckily, I still have ExtremeGamer on PSNComment

Re: Xbox One
It was a horrible miscalculation. I've never heard anyone complain about having to use a disc. I never heard anyone complain about being able to share games with family or not being able to play games from the cloud.
For some reason, MS thought those things were more important to gamers than used games, rented games and the ability to play games offline. They were really wrong.
I see what MS thought they were doing, and like the entertainment aspects still, but not thinking any of that is worth the pain they're giving us. Need to think a little bit more and let this all settle, but I'm 90% sure going towards PS4 next gen. I don't think the tv and kinect stuff will make it worth being a pain to trade in games and stuff.
I don't think I'd really use those "log in at other people's houses and download games" features.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Xbox One
Yeah, they had to go that route to allow you to play all of your games without a disc, share with family, and play all of your games from any other xbox one just by signing in and installing from the cloud.
They took a risk to try and innovate and in the short term it's probably not going to pay off.

Re: Xbox One
I agree though, while I see what they're going for it's proven to be a terrible miscalculation.
With Sony coming in at 399 they're going to dominate at first this gen.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Xbox One
I'll likely get both, but I'm sure I'll be in the minority. Most people I know have one console, and even the less hardcore gamers know about all of this stuff going on right now.
The problem is, Microsoft pissed off the consumer. So even people that don't care too much about the used game stuff are going to have a bitter taste left in their mouths. You can't make the people you want to buy your product mad, because even if you are putting out the superior product (which they are not, by most accounts) people are going to go a different way based on principle.Writer for Operation Sports

Re: Xbox One
Used to have a receiver, but not a fan of the wires at the new house (and mine didn't do HDMI switching anyways).
I stick to TV sound and maybe getting a sound bar...
I still need to think about this, I want the tv stuff, but MS is making it so hard to convince me with all their decisions.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Xbox One
I have too much stuff to not have one... the HDMI and aux ports on it have an Ouya, 360, PS3, various phones, HDDVR, at one point a Wii, a Windows 8 tablet, a DSLR and others competing for spots at different times.
All the ones in bold will be gone from the living room by this time next year though if not this fall.Comment
