If you get both systems you can call GameStop later and ask:

"Hi. Do you have NBA2k14 in stock for PS4? Or do you have the license for NBA2k14 in stock for Xbox One?"

What MS did was an abomination and slap in the face to consumers. Not owning the games you buy is ludicrous. I understand that certain developers may still impose some sort of restrictions on PS4, but for MS to lead the charge in this area is anti-consumerism at it's worst and I won't support it. I still say that at some point MS has to backtrack somewhat on this to compete. If they do, then I will probably pick up an Xbox One at some point. Until then, I will not.

well, Sony is on same terms as MS now.

their 3rd party games will be locked down bc its up to the company.

only Sonys 1st party games wont have any restrictions.

im glad i didnt cancel mu Xbox One Pre Order.. im still getting both, but i knew there was a reason i wasnt as fired up as most about Sony better than MS yesterday. they didnt spill all the beans.

It's not similar. We don't know the particulars yet and how things will be enforced. We do know Sony published titles will have zero restrictions. And we know that PS4 is more powerful (if by just a bit) for gaming and is $100 less. No brainer for me, YMMV.

Went into GS this morning, they had 6 XBones and 20 PS4s available for pre-order...was the 3rd to preorder the XBO.

I understand the DRM concerns, the online conectivity stuff, and being $100 more expensive (in reality $40 more since you have to have PS+ now) but I'm not really phased by any of those so it's still XBO for me.

With FFXV, MGS V, and Kingdom Hearts III (yes!) coming to the XBO it's not even close for on the games front...right now MS has Sony slaughtered on exclusives and the overall gaming library. The games I really want to play (TitanFall, Destiny, Quantum Break, The Division, KHIII, etc) I can all play on the XBO....there isn't one PS4 exclusive outside of The Order that I'm going to miss.

With their policies alone, they slaughtered many of their fan base's hearts.

The important thing is that you are still happy with their product and games that they are going to release. For your sake, I just hope these new IP's aren't smoke and mirrors like this gen where MSFT decided not to release any new IP's and continuously run the well dry with Halo, Gears, Fable, etc.

I was really hoping they would of showed off Crackdown 3.

It's similar...MS just has it on everything.

There really isn't much point in arguing it. It's blatantly obvious the difference in the way both developers are using DRM. MS is looking at the ultimate profit end and enforcing a blanket setting with DRM. Sony isn't using it on their own games because they don't care for DRM but they're going to let publishers continue the practice they already used on the PS3 and 360 (EA Season Pass and Etc.) It's a major difference and there isn't anything deceiving about it. Sony never claimed that DRM wouldn't be used by the Publishers, they said it wouldn't be used by Sony. That was common knowledge before E3 even started.

It's a lot tougher for publishers to do their own DRM (it'd have to be like online passes or something), whereas MS is developing the system to make it easier for them.

Only deception that I saw at the Sony conference last night was that Sony was going to charge for multiplayer through PS+. I say that because it was listed on the chart, but Jack Trenton never came out and said we are charging for MP. All he said is that you can enjoy single player content for free and that all media services are not behind a paywall. It probably would of been best for him to just come out and say that MP now is a part of PS+, its not free.
