Maybe not for you, but there will be for others.

I don't see the harm in asking "why did you buy that?" Its not an attack. Its curiosity.

The intent isnt to sway someone's decision. Its about discussion. Finding out why someone is making a decision. Understanding why a person is making a decision that may not make sense at the time. Helping that person if he doesnt fully understand something.

For example, there were plenty of people who thought XB1 and PS4 had the same policy when it comes to used games last week. Asking and answering questions related to that helped clear the issue up for a few people and helped them make an informed decision.

As I said before this is the "Xbox 1 discussion thread" not the "Xbox 1 Positivity thread". Anyone can express their disdain or any issues they have with the system in this thread as long as its not considered trolling.

Now with that said, I have a honest question for the X1 supporters. Do you feel as if the X1 will be able to beat the PS4 in sales numbers?

Reason I ask this is two fold. One, I rather game on the console that has the larger user base so I know online games will continue to have plenty of people online playing. Second, if it does end up losing by a large margin in total sales how does that affect the vision X1 is after when it comes to the future of gaming(online required, used games, DRM, camera monitored, etc)?

The "Gamer" crowd that voice there opinions online, for sure back up the PS4....The general public (Moms, Dads, lite gamers, etc), I think may make up alot of the X1 sales. You know MS is gonna hit hard with a Marketing blitz. Plus alot of these guys already have a 360 and will just get the X1 without really breaking it down like you see here.

Sony may "win" but I dont think it will be a crippling victory. Probably pretty close to what this generation was.

I guess you can call me an optimist, nothing in that article scared me in the slightest. They will adjust policy as the consumer/market dictates if necessary. I'm not worried and I'm looking forward to the console and what MS plans to bring to the table.

Random Poster: Why are you buying the Xbox One?

Me: I like the online portion and the cloud based functions tickle my fancy.

Random Poster: What about used games?

Me: I don't really buy used games

Random Poster: So you're supporting Microsoft's vision of destroying the used game market?

              Me: I never said that.

This will not end until someone get warned for either flaming or trolling. Just accept that some people don't care about what effects the "masses" they care about thier gaming experience
Am I trolling? Am I serious? Did Dennis Green and the Cardinals really "let them off the hook"? What about the children? Find out next week

Actually most convos here end at "I dont really buy used games." Stop exaggerating.

Something that does effect the masses should weigh pretty heavily on your gaming experience. You are part of the masses. We all are.

Also, I haven't seen that discussion in this thread. Please, point me to those posts. I haven't seen anyone "be attacked" for their decisions, and I'm pretty sure I'm one of (if not the most) anti-XBone posters in this thread.

How can you say that. Moms, Dads don't pay $500 because a machine can do voice commands and hand gestures to change the television channel. And Lite gamers likely don't play online or purchase XBOX Live so why would they pay $500 for a brick when they can pay $400 for a more powerful machine with no internet cost and able to rent/trade games freely?

Microsoft can hit hard with marketing blitz but it's lost on people who don't care or will even consider the machine all things considered right now. All that's left is the gamer crowd that they NEED to please.

To an extent I do care about the masses, but I wouldn't put it before my personal gaming experience. That convo was a bit of an exaggeration on my part. Maybe that's me and how I feel when I get questioned

Id be shocked if the 'mom dad' crowd went overwhelmingly to X1. Its not a kid friendly system. And the price point alone is a problem on that front.

However, parents and kids do love the kinect.
