haven't been on the boards much the last few weeks, just quickly looking for any new update, Thx to Joe he keeps them coming.
Man though, even being out of the loop latley I can't get the 22nd out my head, I guess you can say I'm getting more excited knowing that release it only a couple months away.
You have to take this picture with a grain of salt because it doesn't list "Console-Exclusives" (games that are on 360 and PC) but it shows what MS themselves have admitted about their post-2009 forays where their main focus is to get back all the casuals that Nintendo snatched from under their nose.
Well in my opinion. It all comes down to the person in what system love. Yes you can factor in how games which system will get or who has the better hardware in side of it. But at the end of the day it comes down to which system some one likes better. For me the PS4 can have better hardware and far more games that is comes with it still want get me to buy it. I'm sticking with Xbox one because I love Xbox and the games it will come with in November. Even tho XB1 has less games then PS4 start does matter to me. It comes down to which system I love and the games that comes with it.
How do you know you love the xbone if you don't have one? What you're saying is that at this point you're basing your choice on which corporation you love. Specs, games, price etc. (the things most people use to determine purchases) don't matter, you just like Microsoft more than Sony. Not that I'm trying to belittle you for that or anything, it's your money you do whatever you want with it but isn't that the definition of being a fanboy?

Depends what fanboy means to you. The term fanboy is generally used to describe someone that blindly defends some product or company with no objectivity. In his case he likes the Xbox brand because he's had good experience with it in the past and believes that will continue going forward. If that makes him a fanboy then there's nothing wrong with being one then.
EDIT: you know who the real fanboys are in all of this ? The people who keep trying to convince someone to pick a particular console to help themselves feel better about their purchase. Like the PS4 fanboys who keep going into every article or thread Xbox one related talking bout how much more powerful the PS4 is and how it's cheaper.
That's why I'm going with both!
(I wish everyone had the funds and inclination to do both and we could just concentrate on good gaming!)

Yeah, I could probably afford both if I want, but we've got a kid on the way so I've been cutting out stuff I don't really need right now.
I'll get one eventually, this just lets me really pick the right one for me, honestly. Right now I'm so torn that I don't know what I'd pick. I like Xbox Kinect and media stuff, along with Live. PS4 has some cool streaming possibilities, along with just being simpler and cheaper.
You'll enjoy both though! I've long since realized I don't use both consoles I have now, so limiting myself to one console this gen, at least for a while.

For many it is based on past performance. Maybe there is an exclusive game or games on the PS4 that they offer so they go with that system. For another maybe it's the online gaming stability and performance that Xbox live offers. But the fanboy already made up his mind. The fanboy is all about campaigning for his choice because he is extremely insecure in his choice or he is so jaded by the opposite company that he would never give them a positive notion.

I can understand going with a brand because you've been served well in the past. That's about as far as it goes with me. It definitely doesn't close my mind to different options in the future. I can't imagine making purchases like that nowadays.
I used to be like that when I was a kid. I had a Sega Genesis which was great but when the PS1, N64 and Sega Saturn were released I stayed with Sega just because. It didn't matter to me that the other two might be better systems, had better, larger libraries of game and most of my friends had them. I was definitely a Sega fanboy. I had a Sega before, I was staying with Sega regardless. Needless to say, that ended up being a bad way to go about it.
I agree with the things you stated that makes one a fanboy. I don't think you have to do all of those things, but doing any one of them seems to fit the bill imo.

These consoles will be very similar In specs with the ps4 having a faster GPU. With that said the differences will not be substantial and if we go by the past the ps3 was also more powerful, but multiplatform games looked better on the 360. Xbox has a proven online formula that works and can only get better while Sony lacks in this area. I don't understand why every time a person says anything about the Xbox one in the Xbox one Thread, certain people feel the need to repeat 1000 times that the ps4 is cheaper and stronger. I think at this point and after it being repeated 1,000,0000 times we all know it's cheaper and has a faster GPU. I own both 360 and ps3 and prefer the 360 over the ps3. And, that's the reason I decided to go with the one first. Does that make someone a fanboy?
