Unbelievable. First issue I came across. I put a passkey on My sign in and all it does is error when you try to sign in. Now I can't access my account.

This is what I did after setting up the XBone.....
It worked....but when I shut everything down and started it up later....I had to reconfigure it again.
This was using my Sony Digital A/V Control Center.
For me not much of a pain as my splitter is right next to the CC on my desk...but if it was behind my desk.....it would be a bit of a pain(unplugging and plugging it back in to "recognize" it I guess.)
Could be my splitter.
It is self powered though(not just a pass through)....so I can't see that being the problem.
I'll keep you updated.

What do you mean when you say you have to reconfigure things? Just hot-plugging HDMI? Something else?

Splitters do funny things, which is why they aren't supported right now.

Can you let us know if we are or aren't supposed to use a surge protector?

I really have no idea. I had never heard about this until reading this thread. I know that we plug our Xboxes into power strips all the time at work. Obviously those aren't surge protectors.

I can't imagine why we can't, but maybe you should post on the official Xbox One support forums and ask for more info? I don't want to give bad advice.

Studbucket I'm just in awe. The best thing for me was getting the PS4 and trying it for a week and then getting this. There is no wondering about which one does what because I was able to test them both

All I will say to those who say the Xbone is not for them without trying it, might want to rethink. I said I wanted a gaming machine not a entertainment media center(Xbox One) Let me tell you this. It's an ADULT GAMING MACHINE

Damn Flight, I wish I was enthusiastic as you are about this thing.. I dont know what it is, but I cant get as excited about this as I was when I first turned on the PS4.. Guess i gotta give it some time..

He's right. Talking and changing channels with my voice are pretty amazing. X1 really did it this time. I have a PS4 too, but not sure how much burn it'll get other than playing Madden in my league.

Im going to open up RYSE and give it a try in a couple of minutes, but as of right now the PS4 is killing this X1.. But again thats my opinion so far. Who know what'll happen tomorrow, the PS4 may piss me off. LOL. Thats why its a good thing for me to have two consoles.

Only one I've played was 2k14 and the PS4 looks a little better, but X1 plays or feels better IMO. Also noticed sliders don't reset gayer you exit on the X1.

Yeah, that xbox controller is sharp. The brief time I spent with the One, it seemed to just require less manipulation on the stick to get a result, like in Madden I can hold the DS4 almost half way in one direction and it wont move the menu. I dunno if this is making sense. Hard to explain. The One controller does seem pretty damn responsive, I guess is what I am trying to say
