That's splitting hairs. Of course when I say it's a re-chargable controller I mean give me the darn two re-chargable AA batteries that I have to buy in the play and charge kit along with the charge cable to begin with. Don't make me buy them separately.

I'm kinda surprised people are ok with this. You'd think more people would expect that. I see the advantage if you want to use some enloops, but it just seems like they would include this in such an expensive piece of hardware.

I understand your frustration. I am super glad it's not built into the controller though, especially with the new PS4 controller not having as long of battery life (from what I've read).

I wish we got more for the money too, but like others have said you'd be paying somewhere in the end...

If I used the play and charge last gen I would probably be upset but I bought one at launch and used it until the battery pack charging dock released, I'd rather just keep buying batteries than go back to play and charge again.

First of all, good to see you still lurking in the shadows lol

But second this is my perception as well. I feel like PS4 is the blackberry of phones - they are very good at what they do in a limited scope, but the xbox one is an iphone and although it started pretty much just a phone/ipod with web, it eventually revolutionized how people interact with each other, day to day activities, businesses, etc

I think (hope) ps4 has the ability to adapt faster than blackberry, so I don't think PS will suffer the same fate. But I finally see what xbox is trying to do and the possibilities are honestly exciting and makes me want more.

Sir that is a horrible analogy lol. The iPhone still doesn't have proper multitasking.

Yeah you must not have a Wife and daughter...

I have a wife & a 4yr old daughter. I was able to teach them the ever-so-complicated commands of saying "Xbox on..." followed by "Xbox...watch TV."

Really guys...it's not THAT complicated.

So if I want to watch TV for 2-3 hours at night with my family, then play Xbox One for another 2-3 hours afterwords - my Xbox One has to be on for 6 straight hours??

I just don't get the hesitance here to have your console on for extended periods of time. How long does your home or work PC stay on? You also realize a cable box & this console share a lot of guts, right? Both hard dive based. Both outputting a UI.

Guys...Microsoft learned from the 360. If having your console on for 8 straight hours was something to be worried about, I doubt they would've stuffed so much "stuff" in this box.

This may seem like something just to nitpick against, the one thing I don't like about the xbox one controller is the trigger area when you press in the triggers you hit the part of the controller where the two separate pieces of the controller are snapped together, it seems to sometimes press the sharp plastic edge into the finger there, on the 360 controller that area was a solid piece of plastic that went around that spot. I absolutely love the xbox one other than that

Don't feel bad dude...playing Madden last night, I noticed it. And you know what? At the risk of sounding like a total pansy, it kinda hurt!

That is the part giving me the most problems this launch, the whole voice activation turning everything on always makes me pause for a second and I'm wondering why my controller isn't working then I remember I still have to turn that on

Lol yeah that works well for TV usage but I wonder if there is a setting to turn on the controller when you launch the game.
