    Re: Xbox One

Ain't gonna happen any time soon, especially with the ballooning budgets these games have these days, plus retail chains would throw a fit and MS (or Sony for that matter) isn't going to piss them off.

From what I understand that was just to lower the price in the UK to where they used to be after their ninja price raise.

I tend to agree, another alternative is have digital games release one week earlier than disc based games. That could help grow the market a lot without added cost..

This has been pretty successful for movies in our household.

Going to be purchasing an Xbox One in the next couple weeks for my son's Birthday. He'll be 12, so for those of you who have played Ryse and Dead Rising 3, are either suitable for a 12 year old? I picked up Forza 5 earlier this morning from someone off Craigslist for $35.

DR3 is not suitable for a 12 year old, but its my favorite launch game. I haven't played Ryse, but videos show some brutal violence.

Thanks Pete. Almost bought DR3 this afternoon for $30 but I think I'll gamefly it first. I know I missed out on a great price.

Both are pretty violent/bloody I think. I haven't played Ryse, but not sure I'd want a 12 year old playing either....At the same point DR3 is a little more cartoonish. Not in graphics, but it's so outlandish with the weapon combos you can make that it's not really as "real"

I know I was playing stuff like MK when I was 12 probably though lol.

I have 12ish years until I have to figure out my stance on a game like this for my son (he's due March 11th lol) :-)

No on Ryse as well; lot of brutal violence, also brief nudity and some of the outfits on the women are a bit much for that age.

You should think about Zoo Tycoon as well. It didn't review well due to a good amount of bugs, but most of them have been ironed out by now.

Seems that Black Tusk video of E3 isn't an actual game the studio was working on .

You can bet they're working on something besides Gears seeing they said they had "the next Halo" in the works. I'm certain they didn't mean Gears.

I hope they have something else, but was really hoping that E3 video was a game.

Gears of War's new home, Black Tusk Studios, may come as a surprise to Xbox fans who watched Microsoft's press conference from E3 2013. It was there where Spencer teased a new project from Black Tusk, a sleek, stealthy action game with no name.

"The thing we showed at E3 last year, it was something that was done in Unreal and more of a concept piece," Spencer said, calling it "an asset" created by the team to get their creative juices flowing, not necessarily an in-development game.

"The studio has really been incubating different ideas over the past six to nine months on what they might work on," he said, "but the discussion with Epic obviously didn't start yesterday. We've been in this discussion for a while. The leadership team there has known for a while."
