Good news all around. I have both systems now so I dont have to be jealous when games come out for either systems.

Its hit or miss and I think it has something to do with the fit of the HDMI cords. The issues occur when I start the One. 3 times, I've had the screen freeze on me 5 seconds after I started the One. To fix it, I've taken the HDMI cables out, put them back in and restarted the One.

The second issue I think is linked to surround sound. I turned the option on and it worked fine until I turned off the One. When I started it again, I could hear the TV and the One was sending a video signal to my TV but there was just a black screen. I had to do a hard reset and after that everything was fine. Surround Sound is beta so its possible thats the issue

I've probably turned the One off 15 times and have had issues 4 of the times I've turned it off. This is a big issue because I have to have the TV function work. I only have 4 HDMI slots and 3 of them are being taken by my Apple TV, PS4 and 360.

That all makes sense. Do you have an AVR/Soundbar? Many of the Motorola QIP boxes used for FIOS have an HDCP restriction that only allow 1 device in the HDMI chain between them and the TV.

I do know that some users have had issues with the way cords fit into the HDMI ports on the back of the console. Have you tried different cords, to see if one of them fits better than the other?

Surround Sound is in a beta state and works for many users, but not all. Your best bet is to:
        1) Make sure that whatever your STB is sending matches what the Live TV app has configured (Surround vs Stereo)
        2) Going with Stereo PCM will likely be a better experience than Surround/Dolby for the current time.

I think we can get it to work, because the only real issue we've had reported with FIOS boxes is related to the HDCP issues.

No HDCP issues because my soundbar is hooked up using optical cables not HDMI.

I think your first suggestion may have fixed the surround sound issue. I had my STB set to stereo. I switched that and it seems to work. Thanks man.

Never been an Achievement Chaser, however I like these "timed achievements". I just got one for using the NFL app during the Super Bowl. It has no value, but I think it's a neat thing.

Has anyone messed with the colour pixel option in the settings?

I moved it from 24 - 36 and I'm not sure there is a difference?

I know it will not work for many tv's and in some cases make it look worse.

I just played one round of bf4 with it cranked up and it was sunny outside so I can't say I noticed anything.

Just want to make sure that I'm getting the most out of it.

Could I be in an Xbox One party with a friend that has a 360 and be playing a 360 game with him and still talk to him using my Xbox One kinect? Or will it not work if I'm on different inputs on the tv?

Murdered: Soul Suspect Coming to Xbox One: http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/02/...ng-to-xbox-one

We already knew that Airtight Games (Quantum Conundrum) was prepping its supernatural thriller, Murdered: Soul Suspect, for PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. Microsoft let us know today that the Xbox One will also get in on the ghostly action.

Xbox Wire passed along the news along with a behind the scenes look at Murdered: Soul Suspect on the Xbox One:

                    <iframe src="http://widgets.ign.com/video/embed/content.html?url=http://www.ign.com/videos/2014/02/03/xbox-one-reveal-murdered-soul-suspect" width="468" height="263" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

We've followed Murdered: Soul Suspect with interest since it was revealed at E3 2013 and even named it one of our 10 Reasons Not to Unplug Your Last Gen Console. It's nice to hear it will give us something to look forward to on Xbox One, as well.

Still no release date for Murdered beyond TBA 2014.

This may be a dumb question, but has there ever been any rumors of a standalone Xbox TV service? When I move into my new place I don't have any desire to pay so much for cable/satellite because come March all of my cable shows will be out of season.

Forms of this pop up from time to time, but I don't think anything is immenent or coming anytime soon.

Latest rumors/deals put Sony closer to emulating live TV for cable cutters, but MS will continue to partner with providers for on-demand content and apps.

Not a dumb question, it'd just take a significant upheaval in the broadcast markets to open things up to more potential providers like MS and Sony. The TV market isn't evolving very quickly in this area IMO.
