    Re: Xbox One

I'm home taking care of the kids this week, so I played through Max: Curse of the Brotherhood, and it was actually pretty fun for a simple platformer. I like swinging around and trying to solve some of the puzzles, and my daughter loved watching me play. (However, some of the parts with the big monster were a bit scary for her)

?The Bulgarian Brothers - a story of two brothers (Oggy and Dinko) as they coach in the NCAA and the NBA.

?Ask me about the Xbox Ally handheld - I'm on the team that made it.

No, the remote is just for controlling the Xbox One. If DVR functionality were to be enabled on the Xbox One, it would come as a console update.

Some of the changes from 360 to XB1 just make zero sense. You used to be able to demo every XBLA title. On PS4 you can demo every title. But on XB1 if I want to try a game like Strider, my only option is to buy. Not consumer friendly at all. It's these little things that make you wonder if we paid more for less.

Or not being able to see your controller life until about a week ago or making getting to friends a maze, or no notifications when friends sign on.

It's all little stuff but it drives me nuts. Seems like they're trying to do too much and forgetting the simple things.

I'd sacrifice all of those for a stable OS, which is what shipped, and was rumored to be in rough shape until just prior to launch.

This console will be around for a long time. Why rush features that are not ready, when they can be implemented via updates through out the life cycle.

I think MS felt is was more important to launch as stable as possible, then add stuff via updates.

I will say the OS is running really well before any real major update.

How do I get my X1 to stop automatically recording clips of games I am playing? It's cluttering up my dvr.

Unfortunately this is a bit of a sore spot for me as well.

You really only have 2 options:

                    1. Leave them and clean them out periodically (what I'm doing)
                    2. Turning off the Game DVR functionality ENTIRELY (what I tried)

#2 sucks because even snapping Game DVR wouldn't let me record the last 5 minutes of gameplay. So it's all or nothing.

What they need is another option "disable automatic clips" but leave Game DVR snapping and "Xbox Record That"

That is a shame. I have so many good goals I wanted to string together in a clip but there is no way to tell them apart from random keeper punches. Grrr.

haha, that's pretty cool - although I still feel stupid talking to my xbox even when I'm alone, I may never feel 100% comfortable.

As I said earlier it would make it easier to custom name it - Winston or Boner or something for me - and Studbucket said (understandably) that level of customization is infinitely hard to program/test for.

Thanks for that tip though, I will do that when I finally reach my 1km headshot!

Studbucket, have you seen the complaints that since the update that the directional buttons on Harmony remotes stopped working within apps? I can still move around the dashboard, but I can't move around in Netflix, Amazon, and other apps. Could a fix come next month?

I would double check your remote Hester. My Harmony One is working within the apps you mentioned.

Yeah, check what Joe said and try again. I know Harmony had some bugs with their Xbox One IR codes (some users getting commands sent twice). Maybe there's an update or a new profile to download?

There are a few apps that we are working out some last details on, but the vast majority of apps have no issues at all. Netflix, Amazon, etc are in great shape.

I will see. It was working perfectly until this update. I will try connecting it to the internet and updating it.

It is the Harmony 650, if that makes any difference.
