Re: Xbox One
You are absolutely splitting hairs. Then following it up with facts that have no basis.
Gears is very story driven. Especially the early ones and no matter how much you want to dress it up last of us is a third person perspective shooter. Not as much shooting as gears but it's there. And it uses a similar cover system. Halo and gears are very different. That's sort of obvious. The only reason they might attract the same demographic is because they are both Microsoft exclusives.Comment

Re: Xbox One
Most of that stuff rumored comes from sources that have proven to be legitimate with leaks in the past.
Even some of the more popular Youtubers (boogie and the like) have picked up on them and have made videos about it.
Honestly, I'd be pleased as punched if both of those E3 lineups were mostly legit.
Lastly, I agree with your statement in another post and have been saying it since December. MS's only way out of this is they really have to strengthen their 1st party support with strong quality titles that include Gears and Halo, but that reaches beyond them and pull gamers into other types of experiences. I really think MS should have kept their sports division. They could use a baseball game.Last edited by LBzrule; 05-16-2014, 09:59 AM.Comment

Re: Xbox One
I don't think he's talking about the "content" of those games though. I think he's talking about the person each of those games are designed to pull in, namely the 18 and over male gamer. Content wise yes, Gears and Halo are different, but they both try to pull in the male testosterone driven gamer.

Re: Xbox One
You both are right. The average gamer has gotten older over the years, but many products (not just video games) have special interests in hooking in the young and impressionable. Its no different for video games than it is for mcdonalds or disney. Most of those 35 year old gamers are gamers because they got hooked at a younger age and theyve been customers ever since.
