    Re: Xbox One

Stud bucket I saw on YouTube that a better way to calibrate the kinect isn't too remain super silent when it tells you to but rather to have a fan and other noise that's normally going on and when it asks you to turn up your music to loud you should turn it so loud the Xbox says it's too loud and then start backing the volume down until it accepts it.

I think the idea here is to tell your Xbox one what should be ignored better and the way the instructions are now on screen are not really correct.

I have recently tried this and it seems to help a good bit... Thoughts?

GAEMS are the people that had that overpriced LCD montior in a suitcase thing before, this just looks like a USB powered monitor. Honestly, I don't see the point, if you have an outlet to plug your console into, then you have a plug for your monitor, so you are better off buying a (much) better monitor, likely for cheaper, and just plugging it in.

My GAEMS case (the 19" Vanguard) was an awesome pickup for me. It's TSA approved, and everything is built in for carrying my console around.

As I tweeted to the president of GAEMS, I will be buying that Day 1, as well.

Frankly, I don't know enough about the technical details to authoritatively say. However, what you are saying makes sense, and I do think it's looking for the "base noise level" of the environment. If it's a constant background drone (AC, fan, etc) it probably is fine to have it running and it may even help (like you saw).

It's the variable noises that probably mess with calibration, like screaming kids, alarms, etc.

Is there any way to stream music on the Xbox One be while you game ASIDE from going to a PC and sending music to it? Even using the Xbox One music service that costs $9.99 month?

I ask because I tried the Xbox One Music app and it seems to just be a music app that doesn't run in the background...why would anyone pay $9.99 a month for that?

I subscribe to the PS4 music service which is $4.99 month and it allows me to start a game, switch to it, start some Eminem and go back to the game. I'm looking for something like that on Xbox One.

when you turn it off, do you completely shut it down or just put it into sleep mode? If you completely shut it down Kinect will not work because it's completely off.

You can snap the music app.

Can't you just have it in the background though without occupying constant screen space??

I downloaded Halo Spartan Assualt when since it was free the other day and just got around to trying to play it today. Everytime I try to load it it just goes to a black screen. Any ideas?

Personally, I go to Pandora.com/tv and stream music from there using IE. Then when I get the station playing, I put IE in snapped mode (because it's basically impossible to set up while in snap).

FYI that play/pause on the media remote works with Pandora in IE, which is nice. However, Skip Forward doesn't seem to be recognize by the site.
