Got my 2nd Xbox flipped today! No problems and everything just cost me 44 bucks cause I had to pay 5 more for a white controller cause they were out of regular ones.

They should have eaten that $5. Retail 101. Not your fault they didn't have the product they were offering free. They should have offered you either a rain check on the free controller, or the closest costing one they have in stock for free.

If it were a limited supplies only promotion, then fine. But this wasn't, it's a full promotion.

Just went to Best Buy and took my Halo 5 bundle receipt from 2 weeks ago and they honored the MS deal and gave me a free game and 50 gift card..

I got COD BO3 and sold it on CL for 50....Win Win

Purchased the Gears of War Ultimate Edition Xbox One bundle earlier today at Best Buy for $381.05 including tax. Was quick and easy transaction. Took Halo 5 as the free game and received the $50 gift card. Traded in Halo 5 while I was on break for $43.20.

Not bad at all in my opinion. The Newegg deals aren't bad but for me, the Best Buy deal was literally the best. Now, I simply wait for Rise of the Tomb Raider.

Man this Lunar controller is so damn good...probably my favorite controller ever.

I already loved the One controller...this one is just slick looking and the back grips make that much better.

the gift card is a best buy promo and extra controller was a gs promo or mix and match with other stores

Debating on if it's worth trading NHL 16, CoD Black Ops 3 and my Day 1 console for the Gears 500gb bundle + grabbing CoD again and putting out about 67$.

How does the extra controller work? Is it a packaged separately controller that I could in theory return at a later date?

In more detail:
- Trying to spend as little as possible out of pocket.
- Have Halo already and don't want/need any other game than CoD
- Have 2 controllers already so I'd hoped to flip the extra to pay for Fallout 4, making it a wash. (With BB GCU).

Is it possible to return the extra controller from GS to BB, even at the possibility of a minor $ loss ?

It would essentially turn my 2 year old console into a brand new console for about $16.

yes is the standard new 3.5mm controller separately....You cant return it as is free but you can trade it to them for 30 or sell it online for a bit more

Same here, mine would read disc's but I'd get a crazy noise and sometimes would have to eject-reinsert the disc to get it to work.

Went ahead and made the trade. Was able to get the 1tb bundle without any games for $367 + the free controller + the 1 free game. Turned out to $63 out of pocket. Plan on selling the extra controller to pay for Fallout. So all in all I've traded a Day 1 500gb for a Brand new 1tb at around $17 when all said and done.plus a $20 GS gift card.

As an aside the associate at GS was totally not understanding why I'd trade a 500gb console for another 500gb ( my initial plan was this because of cost) and he took it personally and was obviously perturbed... Anyway he tried telling me because of the ' cosmetic damage " (EXTREMELY light and totally normal wear) that he had to take 50$ off the trade value because he had to send it to MS to be refurbished. Lol....yea I made sure to tell him he was being ridiculous and in so many words that is BS. He relented easily and gave me the full $250 for the trade in value. And this is why GameStop never gets my business...

Mine thought it was smart to get the add-ons for free...I think deep down they understood how a newer one is better. My 2nd trade in was a young girl who seemed newer so didn't care much

Yeah, if only Best Buy had higher trade in values for consoles, I wouldn't even bother with GameStop. I realized that in regards to console trade ins, GameStop is better but new released games, Best Buy is better. For example, Syndicate trades in for $40 plus the 10% GCU bonus while at GameStop, it's $30 plus 10% PUR bonus. $11 in extra credit plus an extra $2 via the trading in points makes it even better.

And im happy, was able to sell the Gears code for a $20 Best Buy gift card so I basically got an Xbox One for $237. With the $113+ in credit, I pre-ordered Rise of the Tomb Raider. Just need to finish Syndicate so I can it in Tuesday. Way it's looking, I may not have to spend a penny on another game until February.
