Re: Xbox One
Watching the Kinda Funny reaction to Microsoft's press conference, I agree with them saying that Microsoft is basically giving up in regards to the current Xbox One vs PS4, taking the loss and moving on by being a lot more on the offensive instead of the defensive. Scorpio seems to be almost like a brand new console but still connected to Xbox One.
No problem with Crackdown being delayed to 2017. Microsoft has a good solid lineup for this Fall.
Loved the fact that their conference didn't show any games that were past 2017. Loved that.
Surprised that when showing Battlefield 1, they didn't announce the 30 day exclusive stuff for the map packs.
Question about the Xbox One slim - will the UHD drive increase the speed of the lens so when inserting a game disc, the game will install faster onto the hard drive?
Scorpio should max out at $500.....if they really want to make an impact, $400 would be great and a cheap $300 would be perfect. The main negative with these upgraded consoles is that for the first time ever in consoles, the price will be increasing instead of decreasing within the same generation.
Microsoft definitely had an excellent conference.Comment

Re: Xbox One
I don't see this as giving up on this gen at all. They established the lowest common denominator and there very well may be games released 4 'generations' from now that will not only play on Xbox Ones (and S's) but also multiplayer with all the other platforms because of the infrastructure they're moving forward with.Comment

Yeah...I like the PC aspect, and there's a lot of Xbox features that got quickly talked about....this was focused on games.I don't see this as giving up on this gen at all. I doubt I'll ever have an amazing gaming pc, but having the option to install games like that is pretty cool!Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Yeah I guess it just depends how you want to look at it but I would make the argument they are trying to preserve this gen.Comment

Re: Xbox One
Microsoft reveals the Xbox One S, a slimmer version of the Xbox One, and a high-spec console nicknamed Scorpio.
1K!? Get the heck outta here lolExpected by Christmas next year, it's Microsoft's way of offering a VR-ready console. I wouldn't expect it to cost much less than $1,000, though, so parents might be a little worried if this becomes the "cool" console to have.Comment

This is a much different tone from the guy ranting pages on end in the Sony thread about the NEO... Lol. Re: Xbox One
I'd be shocked if it was over 600, let alone close to 1k. Hope this guy was just spouting nonsense in that article"Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: Xbox One
Don't get me wrong...I hate the entire idea, concept and still think it would have been better for both to just move on to PS5 and Xbox 4 but it is whatever it is. I can't do anything about it so no point in complaining about it. Whether or not Scorpio/Neo works and actually sells can go either way. Have to wait and see how it all plays out. The one thing that might actually be a positive is that with Scorpio being powerful as hell, maybe that will cause Sony to delay Neo to Fall 2017 which would be fine by me.
All I care about is the games on my current PS4/Xbox One not being "crap" compared to their "Neo/Scorpio" versions. For those who buy a "Neo/Scorpio", I would assume that they would care about their versions not being held back by the base consoles.
When PS4/Xbox One started, some of the games were held back due to them being cross gen. It will be very interesting to see how it all plays out.Comment

Re: Xbox One
On one hand, I'd be shocked if it were over $499. It's a console. People have learned from Sony's gigantic **** ups in the past. I hope.
On the other hand, with the promises they are making, since games *will* all run on the original XBOne... MS can just be like "Hey, this is our powerful box. Pay us a fair price ($1,000) for it if you want to. If not, whatever you can still play all our games."
Compare it to the PC, which MS is moving more towards.
The GTX1080 is $600+. You can still run games just fine on older cards, if you want to be cutting edge, you gotta pay for it.Last edited by ubernoob; 06-13-2016, 05:28 PM.badComment

Re: Xbox One
For those who don't know - the Xbox One slim does NOT have a port for Kinect according to the Kinda Funny video I watched which was based on an article but I can't remember the site so you guys might want to check into that if you're interested in the slim and use Kinect.Comment
