Probably my favorite thing about E3 this year, here's the new list of supported titles coming:

    Gears of War 4
    Dead Rising 4
    Sea of Thieves
    Forza Horizon 3
    Scalebound
    State of Decay 2
    Halo Wars 2
    Recore
    Crackdown 3
    Phantom Dust
    Cuphead
    Slime Rancher
    The Culling
    Everspace
    Ark: Survival Evolved
Yeah. I definitely like the Xbox anywhere feature. I think I will forgo the XB 1 Slim and just wait for the Scorpio to drop. In the meantime, I think Im going to work on upgrading my Gaming PC.

That was true until last year and this year. Samsung has take over the input lag war...Their tv's from 2015 and 2016 are the best for high end tvs

Also the UHD Bluray player is a big selling point for me, so I'm hoping they will add audio bitstreaming capability. Not being able to watch a UHD movie with Dolby Atmos or DTS:X would be a bit disappointing.
Yea but I doubt that it will have Dolby Atmos...I think I read from AVS that they feel it will not be

How great of a PC will we need for play anywhere? It's a great feature but to me it's kinda useless unless I can do it with a laptop.

              Re: Xbox One

I am a sony and Nintendo guy but the slim xboxone and the more powerful xboxone thing kind of confuses me and makes me wonder what it means for sony. So the slim xboxone is going to have a 4k bluray player in it and it is going to be 500 GB for 300, 1TB for 350 and 2TB for 400 and comes out in 2 months correct? So how much is the more powerful xboxone going to cost next year? Is it going to cost even more then the 2TB slim and cost like 500 with it being more powerful after all? Or because it is still like a year + away it may cost 400 by the time it comes out? Or is it going to only be like 500 GB to save some price on it and cost 400? I am wondering what say may do compared to this. Maybe sony comes out with a more powerful ps4 next year for 400 and comes out with a slim later this year for 300 but with more memory like xboxone did and with a 4k bluray drive to?

I'm not expecting Scorpio to be any less than 500.

The 4k push (TV, not monitors) has different effects on different people really. I assume the majority get sucked up by marketing but for me, it's a waste of money right at the moment.

You roughly need to be 5.5ft or closer to appreciate 4k on an 85 inch screen according to the charts. As I don't sit that close and have a large screen, 1080p is more than enough for me. I've compared the two just to see and I really need to be up close to see any visual difference. For PC gaming though, I might be interested in 4k being as I sit a lot closer to a monitor but even now, I'm roughly 3ft away and although I'd start to notice it on a smaller screen, I'd probably need a 40+ inch screen to really notice it. Probably 1440p for me only when the time comes.

So if the Scorpio really only benefits 4k sets, then I doubt I'll get one unless 4k screens are more affordable and 100 inches or more given how far I sit back from my current set (12-13ft at 110 inches).

Of course though, if you have cash to burn, there's no real reason to not go 4k I guess even if there is no difference to 1080p. Placebo effect may kick in for some but there might also be a few that have super amazing vision too which make it noticeable.

I literally can't even fit bigger than a 65 inch tv in my game room the way it's setup. I sit fairly close though so it sounds like 4K would work distance wise.

Yeah, that can definitely make the decision for you (space).

I only go by what I've read though and when I tested it for myself, it checked out for me but yeah, is possible that some others still might see it.

As I said though, if money was of no concern, doesn't really matter I guess.

Sorry but 4K to 1080P is not a placebo effect. It is double the pixel count and as a Samsung 4K 65 inch set I stream 4K on both Amazon and Netflix and then watch the 1080p version on 55 inch bedroom 1080p and the difference is very very much evident.

I'm not saying it's not double the pixel count but 20/20 vision can only see 60 pixels per degree apparently. Ten times the pixel count doesn't make it any better at the distances and screen sizes we're using.

and placebo or not, for you it works which is fine and worth it. For me it definitely doesn't and I'd rather keep my money. My Scorpio decision would be based on that.

right now on my tv i can see the difference between black ops 3 on ps4 and xb1 which is 1080p to 900p. Anybody should be able to see that unless they require glasses

also most of these scientific test are not done with native content. They are done with streaming on netflix which is compressed.

If you see a native video game at 4K it will blow you away on a monitor or big screen tv

if you have a native 1080p game on a 4K tv or monitor it will look like a 1080p game
