I'm not an EA fan but for those who are, $30 a year for EA Access is literally a steal. I'm still surprised that two years later, no other publisher has done the same thing. I can easily see UbiAccess, SEAccess, etc. being an actual service eventually. While it's definitely a decade or longer away, once gaming goes all digital, I see publishers doing what EA is doing with EA Access so they can avoid the licensing fees that they have to pay Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony. Why pay them to host your games when you could do it yourself?

Re: Xbox One
I think no one else has the yearly guarantee of vault additions like EA does with their sports titles, especially now that Ubi has backed off of Assassin's Creed coming out every year. It's one of the biggest reasons I always supported EA Access and always disliked the way Sony said it wasn't a good deal for consumers when it clearly was and they're just saying that to protect themselves. No other publisher has the consistent publishing library to warrant a yearly subscription IMO.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

Mine just expired and haven't had much gaming time lately, but when I do it's a great service....I'll probably re-up next year if I ever have time and want to play the new games added....Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Xbox One
Been contemplating making move to XB1 S. Do you guys know if there is a transfer cable that allows you to transfer all games on old XB1 HD to the new one?EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.Comment

Re: Xbox One
No transfer cable. You can copy games to an external HDD and then plug that into XB1S. You can run them from there or copy them back to internal HDD.Comment

I'm not by any means promoting Visio, but we bought one a few years ago at Sam's on a Black Friday deal and loved it. Loved it so much we now have Vizio TVs in every room.
Just remodeled basement (literally gutted whole thing and started fresh). Got a 55 inch Vizio 4K for under $400.00 at Walmart. Wife loves it, as her and the kid are usually down there while I watch football upstairs.
Walmart or Sam's usually has great deals on them and knock on wood no issues with any of these TVs.

Re: Xbox One
I have a Sony 43 inch 4K HDR TV that includes wide color gamut. The model number is X800D. Using HDR with Forza and turning it off, you can easily notice the difference. I'm not a visual whore but even I have to appreciate the visuals and to be honest, with HDR, I kind of want more and more. LOL.
The TV was $650 new from Best Buy. It's widely considered to be the best of the second tier TV's from 4K.com, rtings.com, etc. I was looking at the Samsung KS8000 but I don't like the stand which look like cheap thin legs and the connect one box. Plus, the TV was at $1200 back in mid-September and because the smallest size is 49 inches, I would have had to buy a new TV stand so I was looking at double the cost.
I'll stick with the TV I have for at least six months while waiting to see what is shown at CES in January and if there's something worth buying. Figured that I either just keep this TV long term or it's a stopgap for six months in which case, I'll sell it for a few hundred and get back most of my money.Comment

Re: Xbox One
The thing about these 4K HDR tvs is that if they don't retain a certain black level and at the same time reach a certain amount of nit brightness it's useless. I would spend a little more and only get a UHD premium certified tv.

Re: Xbox One
With just buying an Xbox One Slim and getting the upcoming PS4 Pro plus at least six games in October and November, I didn't want to spend double especially since there were a few things that I didn't like about the Samsung TV. It's either Samsung or Sony for me.
I know about the nits but even at around 400 for the Sony TV that I have, you can still easily see the difference between HDR on and off. As for 4K, I care more about HDR and think that it will be more important. Also want to see what Sony does with their Z1 chipset TV's that should be at CES.
I figured that for six months or so, it was easily worth the purchase for me.Comment

Re: Xbox One
True but as a cheap stopgap TV, the Sony one is pretty good. Just playing Ryse on it, I noticed just a far clearer and crisper picture than on my 1080P Samsung 32 inch HDTV.

When is CES?

I am really considering getting that Samsung TV you where talking about. There are 2 problems for me though. The first one is it doesn't have inputs besides HDMI and I still like to go back and play old games and systems like gamecube, SNES etc. I did fix that though because I just bought a few converter things where you can play old systems with HDMI. The second problem is I am still living with my parents and I want the 49 or 55 inch one for around a 1000 and considering the 49 inch one is about 1100 right now and black Friday is coming up you may be able to get it for around 900 or so around black Friday. But being that I am still at home with the size of my room I don't know if having much bigger then my current 37 inch TV would be a good idea. For a 49 inch TV I have heard you should sit around 7 and a half feet or so and with the size of my room I am only about 6 feet right now but considering that the TV is a lot smaller in the back then my current TV I could get that a little bit farther from where I sit then my current TV is.Comment
