Re: Xbox One
Heads up for anyone interested looks like Microsoft is rolling out a game pass here by the end of spring.
At Xbox, we put gamers at the center of everything we do and remain committed to giving you the freedom to play the games you want, with the friends you want, on the devices you want. This year is shaping up to be an exciting one for gamers. As we prepare to launch Project Scorpio […]
This could be huge depending on the games. More expensive than ea access but should probably have a larger collection of games. But looks like games could cycle out though. So that would be something to keep an eye on

Definitely sounds good. Best of all, you can download the games on to your hard drive.Comment

Re: Xbox One
I was going to upgrade my Xbox One to an Xbox One S but found out there is no easy way to transfer my games without manually moving them to an external drive.
Not worth the effort when I cannot even do a mass move on all my games & apps (to move from internal to external).
I will just wait and get Scorpio like my original plan and hope they come up with an easier process to do a system swap out by then.
I'm very disappointed in you MS. You should take a note on how Sony makes upgrading from the PS4 to PS4 Pro, system backup/restore. That worked as easy as anything and made upgrading to a better system effortless.
P.S. can someone please correct me if I'm wrong and there actually is a very easy way to do this??? I can't believe MS wouldn't have a better way to do this to encourage people to upgrade.Last edited by ODogg; 02-28-2017, 11:34 AM.Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

Re: Xbox One
I have the external, so all my games in my living room are on that, so I'd have to just swap out system and plug drive back in...but yeah, i guess if you don't have a HD it's rougher. I thought I could queue up all the games to move though, like go through each game and set it to move, then they'd all copy over time. Minorly annoying, but not a thing most people do often, so I'd just suck it up I suppose (had to do this when getting the games on the HD in the first place)Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

Re: Xbox One
You can have as many as you want. Only one can be plugged in at a time, though.Comment

I knew it wouldn't be as simple as buying a new hard drive and using it, LOL.Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

Re: Xbox One
Well crap, so you can only use one at a time, that means the new one I get will have to be large enough to take everything my current one has and then transfer everything from the old to the new.

Re: Xbox One
Man I am SERIOUSLY torn because of Scorpio. I just got a 4K TV and I need a UHD player. But when I look at them they are about $225-250, or some price as an Xbox One S.
So logically that means I should buy an Xbox One S. Which means selling my Xbox One. Well my wife is not at ALL keen on that but fortunately she has a friend who wants to buy my Xbox One, which I think would endear my wife to not being upset if I were to sell to her friend.
However, I know that I will want Scorpio and thus will either have to spend more money to MS and get that too or sell my newly bought (relatively anyways) Xbox One S.
And on top of all of this I know my wife will be like "why in the hell do you need to buy yet ANOTHER xbox one when you just bought one in March??"
It would all be so simple if I could get a UHD player for about $150 and I'd just do that and wait on Scorpio but alas that's not an option.
I was thinking maybe one option would be to buy Xbox One S, save the receipt, sell it for maybe a discount or such of $50 near Christmas when Scorpio launches and you know, it'd still be under warranty and like new...
It all seems like a huge hassle just to play UHD movies and have my Xbox One play 4K games. I know, I know, I should just wait is the rational thing to do but I hate waiting, LOL
So what do you guys think?

Re: Xbox One
Then I was thinking maybe sell the Xbox One S in November (or trade it in if they offer a good trade in) for about $200 (throw in some games and a controller and it'd still be under warranty) and it'd probably be about a $200 upgrade to get the Scorpio.
Still not sure if all of it is worth it for just UHD movies but it would be nice to have Forza in HDR.Last edited by ODogg; 02-28-2017, 01:51 PM.Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20
