I just dont know what kind of games the scorpio will have i got rid of the s in anticipation for MAYBE gettign a scorpio or just upgrading my graphics card all depending on which is cheaper since now i hear forza 7 is on pc too im most likely get it on that rather than a console again

Just dont know what games scorpio will have

There WAS scalebound now? no more

then there WAS crackdown, but no more

I DOUBT rocksta favors the scorpio in anyway unless microsoft kicks them MAJOR loot

I feel microsoft might be ina great place because they make their games avil;able on pc as well but a new scoprio console?

None of this is right. Crackdown is a thing and rockstar won't have to favor anything.

Any Microsoft exclusive releasing moving forward will be on Scorpio. Crackdown, sea of thieves, state of decay, and forza are all gonna be there. As well as any other game releasing on both consoles . There will definitely not be a shortage of titles to play on Scorpio at launch.

It also sounds like games already out could be getting the Scorpio treatment or they will at least upscale. I hoping horizon 3 gets worked on.

How can anyone not know the games that Scorpio is getting? It's the equivalent of PS4 Pro. You have every released game since launch with a good amount of them getting updated via a patch. And newer games will most likely be maxed out ala Pro.

Scalebound isn't a loss whatsoever. It looked bad, played bad and ran bad. Three years in and the game simply wasn't up to par so Microsoft canceled it. Personally, I wasn't surprised simply because Platinum Games history is one good game, one bad game. Nier was the good game and Scalebound was going to be the bad game.

As for Crackdown 3, it's coming out this fall and WILL BE the showcase for Scorpio. I'm also expecting Forza Motorsport 7 and State of Decay 2 to be Scorpio launch titles.

The exclusives being on Scorpio/Xbox One and PC is a good thing for Microsoft because it gives Microsoft extra software sales for the PC version that they wouldn't get at all because the majority of gamers that are PC gamers don't bother with consoles because it's inferior in their eyes. The cross buy and play anywhere is two things that Microsoft should focus on. Backwards compatibility is a positive and I really think that Microsoft should go all in with MODS for games that support it since Sony is pretty much against it despite allowing it with Bethesda games.

Mario is Nintendo's second biggest IP. Pokémon is actually first in sales. I see Pokémon being Nintendo's big holiday title with Mario being March 2018 but here's the thing - once these three games get released, then what? Three biggest franchises within a year of each other isn't good. Smash Bros., DK, Metroid, etc. aren't big enough or popular enough to sell the console. If they were, Wii U would have sold more than 13M total in four years.

Switch is hot NOW but it won't stay that way. Every new console that launches has their "hot" period and then it levels out and dies down. Nintendo is hot now because they have Zelda and every Nintendo fan(boy) is trying their best to bring back Nintendo from the dead. Only problem is that one, Zelda is overrated and let's be honest, there's literally not another game that's worth buying right now for Switch. Mario Kart 8 will do good but that's expected especially if those who purchased a Switch didn't own a Wii U.

Switch will easily outsell Wii U but it's never passing Xbox One. Simply isn't going to happen because once the novelty wares off and those who buy it take off their nostalgia glasses, they will see nothing but a long drought, no third party support, inferior online capabilities, no apps, an underpowered console, etc.

The ONLY saving grace for Switch is the handheld aspect but if you own a 3DS and have a huge library of games for it, are you really going to "switch" over? Probably not. No reason to do so because all your 3DS games can't be played on Switch.

Nintendo should have made it where ALL 3DS games are compatible and playable with Switch but without the 3D effect. THAT would have been HUGE. Playing the same games that you've already played the previous generation on Wii U isn't going to cut it.

Plus, majority of gamers want games to advance. Nintendo is the opposite in this regard. While Sony and Microsoft move forward and into the future, Nintendo is stuck in the past and yeah, that will work great in the beginning, in the short term but in the long term, it won't.

I see Switch ending in the 35M range which for them is great but compared to Xbox One which will probably be around 60M by this time, not so much. And this is without throwing Sony into the conversation or PC gaming.

But this is just my own personal opinion.

Revisiting my general excitement about hardware rather than software, I'm very interested in what we're going to see on the mixed reality / hololens front, with Microsoft issuing devkits for Windows/Xbox.

Take Madden for example, you could have stats and other information (or even replays) appearing outside of the boundary of your TV after each play. Taken to an extreme, your living room could become a locker room or a stadium and your TV the replay board or something. The latter is spectacular, but I'd prefer the more subtle enhancement of the experience.

With many expecting Apple to finally 'invent' it with the iPhone 8 augmented/mixed reality is going to get a really big push shortly.

Yeah, Hololens has been kinda quiet lately.

Though that Magic Leap or whatever was supposed to be great has been silent forever too, so things are harder than everyone expects.

With Scorpio it seems like devs will be able to get better performance with limited work, so they'd code for it. The mindset of always having BC going forward is amazing. If MS just keeps getting more powerful, but older games will still play, then it keeps you on an ecosystem. If PS5 requires completely different dev then it's tougher on devs. That's why I think Scorpio will be ok...

Some big fall games being optimized for Scorpio (4k?) include Red Dead Redemption 2, Star Wars BF2 and COD.

We recently received a partial list of planned 4K titles for the next Xbox, dubbed "Project Scorpio," and we're now able to fully confirm its authenticity.

Microsoft must be incredibly confident in the hardware if they are allowing Digital Foundry an exclusive reveal.

Came here to say this, this seems like a good sign for the Scorpio.

Makes sense. Honestly, DF did a better job of selling the PS4 Pro than Sony and they can speak to the audience that Scorpio is targeting.

Something like this is what I'm expecting.

The owner told me to bring everything in, but the HDMI cable, but he said that he will start to purchase a controller and the brick because he is starting to see more xbox one's coming in.

He said the part should be in by Monday.

I contacted the repair guy and he said I should have investigated further. He thought it was the lasers was the reason why my discs were not playing. He asked me if I heard a sound when I put in the disc and I said, I heard a sound, but it wasn't grinding.

He told me the issue was the gears and had to reorder gears for the console. So now we wait till Friday.
